AIBU?

To wear a bikini with a noticeable bump?

I'm currently pregnant and have booked a holiday in August with a friend. I'd love to wear a bikini as I'm not used to one-piece swimming costumes! Problem is many people seem to think that you should only show your belly off if it's as flat as a pancake!

A bikini seems perfect for a baby bump. Absolutely go for it.

I think a bikini will be more comfortable with a baby bump than a swimsuit anyway. Please wear away :)

I loved showing off my baby bump when I went swimming. You rock it out!

Yanbu

I wore bikinis whilst pg so I didn't have to waste a fortune on a maternity swimsuit. Plus I loved my bump and wanted to show it off!

I plan to wear a bikini again this summer even though I'm not quite flat as a pancake again yet.

Gosh! I went on holiday at 17 weeks when my bump was at that stage where it was neither here nor there, I could have just been "chubby" to strangers IYSWIM!

I'd have loved a proper bump, a real bump!!

I bought a tankini, but mainly as was 8m pg and the top wasnt fitting too well

Also lots of sunscreen as it can make the linea nigra a lot more prominent/stubborn to go away.

I'll definitely remember the Sunscreen! By August my bump's going to be quite big so I'm looking forward to showing it off. The friend I'm going with has a 'perfect' figure - whatever - I'll style it out!

I won't wear one fourteen years after DS born! My stomach would scare people FAR more than yours will Smile. Wear and enjoy!

Haha - thanks Purringkitten - it's just that all my pregnancy weight gain has gone straight to my tummy! :(

I have a noticeable bump and wouldn't wear one.

I'm not pregnant though.

Go for it OP. I did with DD2 and have never felt more attractive - it was comfy too.

YANBU!!!!

I live in a hot country where I'm in a bikini 11 months of the year. I did exactly the same while pregnant. Why not?

That's the joy of late pregnancy, youre so obviously pregnant no one can possibly expect you to have a flat tum, i loved my pregnant tum and was much more willing to expose it (although didn't as wasn't big during the summer)
