Was i BU about this?

So, DH, DD2 and i are looking to rent place in a big city. Last night we went to look at place and talk to the two people who are renting it.

It was a very plush, glass fronted apartment, very open plan. We said hello and they asked us to take a seat and gestured to some leather settees.

There was a biggish, short haired dog on one settee wearing, what looked like, a long t-shirt. I noticed something glistening in its lap and bent down to touch it. It was wet and warm and i realised the dog had wet itself. In fact i realised the settee was positively squelching in dog wee.

I rushed away down some steps to the kitchen area and started scrubbing my hands with hand wash and hot water. My DD2 came rushing after me to tell me to stomping a fuss and how i was being so very reasonable.

On the plus side there were very nice bright red, tiled work tops in the kitchen.

So was IBU to make such a fuss?

I don't think you were fussing, I'd have washed my hands right away of I had stuck it in dog pee.

Why would you touch what was clearly dog wee?! I would also be a bit taken aback and put off at an animal weeing on a sofa, but would know better than to touch it I'd also have pointed out to the owners it had had an accident and see what their response was. Also, why was it in a t shirt? I'm now wondering if it was really a dog or a small hairy incontinent person?

You won't catch anything horrible from dog wee through your skin, but appreciate the experience may not have been delightful. I think YWBU, and it appears your DD agrees.
You could have been more polite.
Do you have a thing about 'germs'? Or dogs?
Is the sofa included in the rental?

It was indeed all a dream! But i woke up completely weirded out and convinced it happened. Anyone else had weird dreams recently?

I didn't talk to my best mate for three days (we shared a flat at this point) because she wouldn't support me in my X Factor auditions. In my dream. much as I enjoy singing, I know I can't do it to X Factor standards

I have also slapped DH because he's been a knob in my dreams.

I can also tell when I'm ovulating because I have The Worlds Sexiest Sex Dreams Ever (TM). Was well pissed off when DH's really loud backup alarm went off on Saturday morning (he'd forgotten to cancel it when he'd gone away for the weekend) right at the ahem most inopportune moment. Especially as I was then awake with a horn and no husband

I dreamt that I was in a high building. One of my work colleagues jumped out of the top floor and died. He then became a zombie, and started charging up the stairs to get me. I tried to hide from him, and then to run away. He was very fast. I then fell down some metal stairs, and started yelling for another work colleague to come and help me. But he was in the cellar with the door shut and couldn't hear me.

The zombie was just about to get me and dh woke up up. I was yelling so loudly I'd woken him up (and he is a very deep sleeper).

This is the weirdest one I can remember!

Once dreamt (I think I was pregnant at the time) that my poor dh had died. I had him dressed in a white suit and went to see him at the funeral parlour where he jumped up out of the coffin and proceeded to sing 'stayin alive' complete with dance moves.

ive told him if he dies before I do im not having him dressed in white... you know, just in case

2. Get bitten by dog
   
3. Food/toy/whatever that the dog has been licking (other than 1)
   
4. Find waste product from one of the dog's orifices
   

So well done on winning that little lottery. Next time perhaps... don't do that?
