I find that I post things on here and people say"This should be in parenting, this should be in relationships...etc" Truth is, things rarely get answered where they should be. Post them in AIBU and you always get an answer.

And the more dramatic, the more responses :)

A lot of posters never leave AIBU.

They never emerge blinking into the light that is the rest of MN.

I think some people only read AIBU as they are arse holes and just hang around waiting for someone to abuse.

Which leads on to why you'd get loads of responses if you mention benefits because loads of arse holes hang around waiting for someone to abuse. Sadly they see people who are struggling financially as fair game for that Sad

Chat is fairly busy

But HQ could cut out 50% of topics and there would still be far too many imo

AIBU is kind of fun though :P

Do you not have enough money to get your nails done?
Would you like me to send you some, or drive round to your house with a selection of OPI and some chocolates?

I will do, as I have more money than sense and a touching naivety about the motivations of people who type stuff on the Internet.

I'm a bit skint as it happens, Cooger.

Can I get you an online shop at all, usual?

Report
SaucyJack · 13/06/2015 19:49

Because people don't want to go on to other topics and write sensible and supportive posts.

I have some Tesco Cubcard Vouchers. You might be able to double them up and buy vodka with them.

Yes please, Coogar. Ocado though, none of that Asda crap.

I will look at anything and everything... as long as it's under LAST 15 MINUTES! AIBU is at the top though... then I zoom to Chat! I never head for particular topics.

I agree Worra, there are so many topics and a lot of them are incredibly quiet.
I remember when there was a list of shortcuts at the bottom of the page to certain topics, that was great as you could flick between a few in one click. Now to get to anything you have to do a bit more (not hard obviously but a few clicks more) and people, myself included, cba!
I mainly hang around on chat, but when I first joined MN I was on AIBU for ages as I genuinely had no idea there was anything else! I heard about AIBU from that other sparkler place... Decided I would check it out and that was that.

Can anyone help my family?

DS (12) has had to leave the park and come home early because I couldn't afford to buy him alcohol.

I feel like such a shit parent. I'd be grateful if I could just give him cheap cider or something but then I couldn't afford my fags.

All the kids are picking on him Sad

I'm on the mobile app and go to Active discussions and refresh if there's nothing that interests me ??

Report
usualsuspect333 · 13/06/2015 19:55

I just use Active. I don't hang about in any particular topic.

Report
Quiero · 13/06/2015 19:56

I just go down active and click on stuff I think looks interesting. I hide loads of topics so I don't accidentally wade into a BF vs FF debate or some ridiculous discussion about private schools in London.

If it all gets too much I go and read the camping topic.

I'll share the vodka ghost. PM me your address. I'll drive across the country to bring you some.

I notice people keep asking for more topics. So basically everyone has to be "pro" whatever the topic is. Tis daft if you ask me.

Although I've always been tempted to have a topic for working class people where no one mentions Quinoa or private schools and it's ok to have a big brush.
