Why? Who? Just who thinks it's a good idea? She's just a terrible presenter/interviewer.

why is what she did any worse than what jeremy paxman is famed for doing?

Because she did it incompetently.

She wasn't challenging what he said. Because he didn't get a change to say anything. She didn't let him get a full sentence out from the start.

And expecting him to comment on the precise injuries was just crass.

Whilst I would like to see more women in serious broadcasting, I do not like Kay Burley. She has cold, hard eyes and I just don't take to her or her attitude. I would prefer older women in broadcasting rather than several Kay Burleys. It only seems to be men in suits that don't want older women in broadcasting.

She should not have hounded him for personal medical information.

And she is supremely shit at her job. I wouldn't complain about that to Ofcom but every time I see her I just really can't understand why anyone pays her to do anything in front of a camera.

I am still getting flashbacks to her cringey covering of the births of Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

There are three great unsolved mysteries to the universe.

  1. What triggered the big bang
  2. How did life come about
  3. How is Kay Burley still gainfully employed

I suspect an answer to 1 & 2 isn't that far away, but sadly number 3 is unlikely to be answered in my lifetime.

She is totally incompetent and very rude, the insistance on whether someone had lost a limb was ridiculous and she must know that guy was never going to be able to give her that info. for exactly the reason he gave. The trouble is she comes over as aggressive and rude she interrupts and shouts people down and you instantly start sympathising with the person on the receiving end.

In fact in amongst all her posturing there was a valid question which she asked and which many people had also been asking themselves - 'why is it necessary to upgrade safety measures, when surely they ought to be at the very highest level already.' But it was lost because she is completely inept and mistakenly equates shouting, interrupting and being rude with incisive interviewing.

I like Kay in a perverse way.

A bit like how people like Derek Akorah limited ?

Is that the appeal? Everyone is sort of watching in an ironic manner?

She should have been sacked after her appalling bias on the election debate.

She is unrelentingly awful. Apart from the time she made Peter Andre cry.

I can't stand her. Every time I watch an interview with her it's like an episode of Jeremy Kyle. She's not interested in getting answers she just wants to shout her mouth off. It's embarrasing to watch.

I've wondered that too, meglet

Especially since the way she spoke to those searching for April Jones.

(SKY should never have got rid of Chris Roberts)

Sky News is just awful all-round really. I did love it when Adam Boulton lost the rag with Alastair Campbell. Think Mr Boulton might have been post 'refreshing' lunch.

Its Sky News. They love blunt journalists like that. Sensationalism i think they call it. That other burk on there aswell Adam Boulton gets on my nerves aswell.

Totally with you, I can't bear her - the April Jones coverage was awful and her inability to let her guests talk or answer questions bugs the hell out of me, I would actually like to hear their answers usually! She tends to ask something and then jump all over them before they get a sentence out

She presents as very unprofessional and isn't appealing. Can't stand her and she does it time and time again.
She must be shagging someone Grin

What a thoroughly shrill, unpleasant woman she is. That interview is atrocious.

I'm actually very bored with this "look how clever I am for picking on you and giving you a jolly good telling of on behalf of the nation" interview style.

It's not big and it's not clever.
