Eww that's horrible.

I don't like the house at all. Shock at the price.

Haha yes. Currently being used as a HMO though so perhaps current tenant of the room wasn't too bothered about making the room presentable?

£390,000 for that!?!
God I'm so glad I live in the North!

It's a student flop.

It must be a nightmare trying to sell a house with sitting tenants.

They are quite possibly the worst estate agency pictures I have ever seen! Shock

It's a rental property and being used as multiple occupation.
What did you expect?

Report
greenbottleglass · 10/06/2015 11:19

I've lived in lots of rentals and manage not to live like a pig, thanks very much Hmm

I can only assume that the person who wants to sell the house is not living there at the moment!
You would expect the vendor to at least straighten the bed before the photos were taken!

I was taken to view a flat by an agent within half an hour of making the appointment, so the vendor wasn't expecting us.
But surely if you have given an estate agent a key to use when you are out at work, you make the effort to remove the spread of open porn magazines from the kitchen table! ("magazines" shows that this was a long time ago...)
The poor agent was very embarrassed, and kept standing between me and the table pointing out irrelevant thnings on the other side of the kitchen while he shuffled the magazines closed

Well, I didn't expect to see a bra on the floor, that's for sure!

No one who has bought in a university city will be surprised. I've seen plenty of properties in a far bigger state than that.

There are worst things than bras that could have been on display. :)

littlemslazybones · 10/06/2015 11:36

sorry greenbottle, I just meant that the tenants might have a vested interest in not facilitating a change in landlord or for their house to be sold to people who want to live in it - not that tenants live like pigs.

It's - depressingly - on the cheap end for the area, particularly as pretty sure it's catchment for Cherwell.

I wish I lived in the North.

That garden looks like one big potential cat litter tray

I want to buy that poor, abused house and do something with that blasted expanse of garden.

It's a pretty good price for Oxford, despite the mess.

Good God. At least chuck the empty loo roll tubes in the bin before you take a photo!

300 and 90 fucking grand?!!!! Jesus

I can't imagine being that desperate to live in Oxford.

Where I live that would get a comfortable 4 bed detached with garage etc. And we're not in the outer Hebrides - still 2hrs on the train to London.

InstitutionCode · 10/06/2015 11:58

I bet that's not even the expensive bit of Oxford, is it? Looks like it might be an ex LA house? Which is fine, mine is too, but you usually get more for your money.

Lol at cat litter tray potential :o
