have always wondered about this when standing in huge loo queues.

I just go in, wee (or ahem you know) , flush and come out. Why the several minutes people? Is the entire female population constipated ? Confused

This has been asked before and it transpires that some people take their coat off. Which I find odd but there you go.

YANBU. I have literally no idea what can take more than a minute in there. Not to make toilet queues so ubiquitous and loooooonnnngg.

If it's winter I tend to have lots if layers of clothing to arrange, and depending on the coat I'm wearing I'd take it off.

Well. When I wee it always seems to take a while to arrive...I sit and have to wait...I hear my neighbour...and they seem to sit and immediately wee!

Mine has to work it's way down somehow.

When I poo though, it's immediate!

Go on. Lock door. Offload bags. Maybe a lot if it's a shopping centre. Remove jacket. Hang on hook. Check there is actually toilet roll.

Undo and remove any needed clothing. Some people may wipe the seat. Pee. Or whatever. Try to do so silently for some reason known only to me. Wipe. Do up all the buttons clothes etc removed. Check seat is clean. Flush. WAit to see flush worked. Flush again. Put coat on. Reload bags. Open door.

25% of the time add in changing a towel/tampon plus associated checks.

I can take a long time if I'm on my period.

There are people who don't take their coat off? Wtf? There's no way I'm letting any bit of my clothing touch the bit of the toilet between the seat and the cistern. No way. No way no way no way.

I have no idea why Adults wear dungarees, they are a hindrance for going to the toilet. I use them as a device to stop Mini-pirate from Getting to his nappy.

It's not their fault that you and I are queuing It's because there are not enough toilet cubicles for women, in may cases.

Change sanitary products, change underwear, pregnancy test (I noticed a used one in mcd's bin last week!). I dunno there's many things that take longer than a minute to do

Some people will line the seat with bog roll; that takes a while.

A girl at my work sits in the loo and talks on the phone. I have actually heard her do a sh*t and maintain a convo at the same time. That's a multitask I am do without!

I have to add on a few seconds for wrapping hand in loo roll in order to touch the flush, door, door handle, etc. I hate using public loos.

I am a coat remover! And I hang my bag up too

In, close door, check for bathroom stationery and cleanliness, arrange paper over seat if seat looks questionable, or wipe. Coat and bag off, appropriate clothes arrangements...I also like "body" style underwear, they can be buggers to unpop/unhook in close confines.

do the deed

reverse all the above, PLUS I think it is only courteous to ensure the flush is complete and no nasty surprises remain for the next incumbent.

I hate it when you go in and the flush is still flushing.

smillas you hitch it up along with the rest of your clothes. Nothing touches the toilet.

I wonder at how anyone can bother to manoeuvre their coat on and off in a tight space, running the risk of dragging it across the floor or toilet seat, when it isn't generally necessary to perform the task at hand.

I've been wanting to ask this for ages! It takes me about 1 minute, 2 absolute max. I don't understand what people actually do in there. Maybe there's a secret thing I'm missing?
