I want to put it in terms he understands. Seems like a good analogy to me.

Grin Thanks for this!

Makes sense. Though Slytherin might feel a bit peeved by that comparison.

JK Rowling is a Labour supporter isn't she.

I wouldn't be surprised if she sees Slytheryin as Tories herself.

I think that is a most excellent idea! But who would labour/lib-dems/ukip be?

Report
Meow75 · 08/05/2015 18:51

Does that equate the Green Party to Hufflepuff?

Bodyinpyjamas10 · 08/05/2015 18:53

Yes and if labour had won you could have said hufflepuff was in power.

UKIP death eaters.

Wouldn't UKIP be Slytherin as they don't like 'mud bloods'?

Surely Nick Clegg is now Nearly Headless Nick. Grin

Slytherin aren't an evil house. They are ambitious, so probably any politician could be a Slytherin. She's tweeted today to put the leader of the Scottish Labour Party in Gryffindor Grin

And then she said houses bear no relation to any political affiliation. Unless you see yourself racially superior. That not all Slytherins feel racially superior, but that everyone who does is Slytherin. (I'm not sure this strictly follows the books, but anyway, this is from her twitter feed today.)

DH wants to know whether the speaker would be Dumbledore.

I think he would be the sorting hat.

We're now actually having a proper debate about this in the Raptor household.

He now thinks David Dimbleby would be the hat. We probably need to get out more Grin

I guess if your one of the heritage tribal Vote Labour no matter what types then yes.

Personally I have not indoctrinated my DC or even told them who I am voting for.

I trust them to make their own choices with their own brains rather than feel its a tribal clan we belong too and sneer at others who do not wear our stripes. I don't care if they don't vote the same as me and I suspect my allegiances will change.

I will only get upset if my DC turn into frothing rabid ramming it down my throat sorts we have see on here. But hopefully by me not ramming my own ideas down theirs, I should be OK.

Last night people were saying Sunderland has an awful corrupt Labour council that EVERYONE moans about but no one would ever vote Tory due to heritage politics so they are stuck with it.
