I have a high matinance friend, used to live around the corner from her and like her in small doses. Now we live the other ends of the country so see each other for days at a time, and its just to much she's pretty much a rude, selfish person who only cares about herself and is becoming quite nasty.

The other day she heard a story 2nd hand, overreacted and sent me a message calling me a sly dog. This was the staw that broke my back, I've now blocked her on every didigtal device.

Aibu to do this ?

Yanbu. Ignore her and get on with your life!

I think you have done the right thing. No one needs friends like this.

Thanks, thought it seemed a bit childish blocking, but really can't be dealing with being stressed by someone I don't want to have in my life.

A sly dog Grin
She sounds about 10
Cut her out, she's given you a great reason to.

Blocking her was not childish. In this scenario it was the mature adult response.

Agree with MellonBallers - Unreasonable would be to go into a tizzy or start a flame war on social media or whatever unreasonable people do when someone disses them. To simply cut off someone that does not enrich your life is perfectly reasonable and healthy.

Thanks.

Yes I might have had one or two childish text exchanges with her in the past Blush saw this as going the same way so just went about blocking. Felt quite good actually
