Definitely 5)
Go somewhere whacky to do something bonkers. Llama farming in Pennsylvania?

Peacocklady Wed 28-Jan-15 22:37:16

I'd go abroad. You could get a job in an international school or teach English language. You could go anywhere!

betweenmarchandmay Wed 28-Jan-15 22:37:30

What do you want to do? smile English teachers can generally find employment easily enough but only if you want it.

okeydonkey Wed 28-Jan-15 22:43:04

Go abroad and teach in an international school.

Hatespiders Wed 28-Jan-15 22:57:21

Do a TEFL or equivalent and go to some exotic far-flung place to teach English. (Oh how I wish I'd done that!)

Rummikub Wed 28-Jan-15 23:03:56

Definitely 4. Do it! Perfect timing, opportunity of a life time. I really wish I had. Don't get bogged down in the mundane just yet.

senua Wed 28-Jan-15 23:07:35

Don't think "what shall I do?". Think "what will I regret not doing?"

wobblyweebles Wed 28-Jan-15 23:16:23

Do you like living near Swindon? Personally I'd be doing option 4 especially given your location.

Glastokitty Wed 28-Jan-15 23:19:29

EnriqueTheRingBearingLizard Wed 28-Jan-15 23:25:59

I started travelling at 21, settled in NZ at 24 and have been here ever since (28 1/2) am now married with a 3 year old and a brilliant job - go travelling / live abroad; you won't regret it wink

clippityclop Thu 29-Jan-15 05:43:44

Lucky you! On behalf of those of us who never had the opportunity, head for the sun and get a job somewhere wonderful overseas. Any ideas where you might fancy going? Dh has just passed up a great offer because it would've meant too much time out of family commitments - go while you have the choice!

Thumbwitch Thu 29-Jan-15 05:52:35

If you have the money, then 4 definitely. A career break has been handed to you on a plate - take it and go do something exciting! smile

My Brother has taught in Japan (9 Years), came home for the final 4 years of my fathers life, and taught here in England, Starts in Finland school in September (but was offered posts in New York, Jamaica, Egypt, Thialand...) he has also taught/worked on the Peace Boat for a year whilst travelling the world. The international postings are better paid and his house / car / living costs paid additionally. Personally I think its a "No Brainer", esp if you have no ties. If you can afford it now buy a property here before you go and get it rented out, so you can always come back and be on the property ladder if you wish. Though I'll be surprised if my brother ever fully returns to the UK again and I cannot say I blame him
