kebab for a poorly child

Am I being unreasonable to think giving your 6 year old has been sent home with a tummy bug and still v.poorly a donor kebab is awful?

Why is it awful? Perhaps it's the only thing the child wanted to eat? At that it might even have been home made! In the end it's grilled lamb with herbs and spices. Call it by any other name and no one would have an issue!

It's not the first meal that would spring to mind to give to an ill child, certainly. But I don't know the circumstances.

I make a homemade donner kebab and it's lovely, not fatty at all. I give it to my dc, they wouldn't eat it if they were unwell and not up to it.

If the child is really ill, maybe that is what they asked for and it will be the only thing mum can get them to eat today. I really would not judge without knowing the circumstances.

I've gone off kebabs since reading a teenage girl was put in one after she was murdered. Might be an urban myth hope so

That's a bit of a drip feed isn't it, but yes after your second post I would say it's selfish. Surely he could have boiled an egg and made a bit of toast? And still have got a kebab for himself?
