Had the first lot a couple of years ago whilst living overseas. It was supposed to be mono vision. For 6 months I didn't need glasses at all but then vision got worse and I needed them for reading. I understand this is not unusual due to my age (mid 40s) and this was explained fully to me; what I wanted was to get away from wearing glasses ALL the time.
Just had a regular vision test today. Optician said I don't have mono vision after all, I have the worst of both worlds instead. I now need a stronger prescription for reading and my distance vision is getting worse. Argh!
I don't know if the original laser surgery wasn't right (the guy who did is very reputable and considered an expert - travels globally giving talks etc.), or if my eye have just deteriorated.
I'd like to try to get it corrected to mono vision if possible, or at least so that distance is strong, with reading glasses for close work.
Anyone had eye surgery twice?
