He's not fat just very very tall though I would say he's skinny he also has the famous black bum so most jeans which are now skinny can't fit him

Any one else have this issue

not much help but my 'little' brother was similar, he seemed to live in sports clothes at that age as they were more comfy. He's a lovely hunk of a man now.

He wears pj most days when at home because it's the only things that fit him correctly

myfallingstar How tall was your son when he was 12?
My son is 12 at the end of the month and currently 5ft 3 and I size 7 feet.

I have a feeling he may be tall - how tall are you and his Dad?

Both my brothers are well over 6ft. High and mighty is a good shop for taller men

my 11 year old daughter is 5'9" and has size 9 shoes which are also a nightmare to find for girls. She has a 32" inside leg already and has grown an inch every time we measure her. My DH is 6'7" so I know all the places to buy clothes/shoes. Lands End sell unhemmed trousers or will hem them free up to 36" so it is worth keeping an eye on their sales. School uniform is a nightmare for tall slim kids as my daughter just started secondary school and the blazer I got was far too big around the chest and yet the sleeves were about 2 inches too short for her so her school shirt shows alot out of the ends of the sleeves. Not sure what to do next year as cannot go bigger round the chest until she grows a bust! I use online searches alot for shoes which is a pain if you have to return them.Sarenza has free delivery/returns and goes up to a mens 17!! Good luck....I feel your pain and my daughter is predicted to reach 6'4" so my pain has only just begun. At least you don't have to worry about tights for your son!!!!!

I used to grumble about my tall, big footed teen until I met my friends 7ft 5 son (( he's 15 and also has size 15 feet, surprisingly his mum picks them up pretty cheap as 99.9% of the population have feet ))

It costs a blimming fortune.

My 12 year old son is very skinny, but wears small/medium men's clothes now, and has SIZE 12 FEET already. I feel your despair.

Skiis are actually a pretty good idea [ponders this seriously].

Have you looked at M&M Direct?
My super tall brother gets most of his clothes from there and it is cheaper the the high street

Watching closely. DS is 12, 5ft 8 & size 10 feet. None of the trousers I bought in Sept fit now. Skis don't seem like a bad option!

Can I ask - did your kids suddenly shoot up at a certain age? My son has always been far taller than his school mates but from the sounds of you guys your kids are much taller! My son is 12 end of the month and 5ft 3

What about Jacamo? Don't they cater for tall men?

My Nephew is well on his way. His paternal family are all tall and at 13, he is now taller than DH (prob about 5'11) and my dad has just bought him some new running spikes in a size 12.

I'm going to stop owning about DS, he is only 10, 135cm and wearing a size 2 shoe.

My mum used to have these problems with my brother, he is 6'3 and a size 13 shoe (I think) but he was that size at about 14.

Ds is 11 and in a size 11 shoe. He's around 5ft5/6 and in large men's stuff.
His dad is 6ft2, my brother is 6ft7.
Ds seems to gain a shoe size every birthday, he was in an adult 5 at 7 yrs old, I worry his feet won't stop growing!!

DH is 6'4 and buys his clothes at ordinary shops. He lives in jeans. No reason you need specialist providers for someone who's 6'2.

9 year old got measured at school today came home with great delight to tell me he's 152cm with size 7 shoes.

I keep telling myself he's going to stop at 12 and everyone else will catch up.

Please someone tell me this is what your son did?!

He's 15, he'll slow down. My brother hit 6.5 at 16 and stopped. Size 13 feet. All catered for on High Street.

I'm not sure why you'd need special shops to get you DS clothes. 6'2 isn't abnormal. My DH is 6'4 and just gets his clothes in ordinary high street stores.
