It's on catch up.

Is it interesting, well done, and raising awareness of disabilities?

Or is it voyeuristic crap?

Love any dating shows but I don't want to be just be sitting here seething in an hour.

Did anyone watch it?

I really enjoyed it and don't think it was too voyeuristic, if you think that people with say learning disabilities should have the same right to go on reality TV as anyone else. A few of the people on the programmes stayed in my mind, such as the very charming chap who wrote poetry to his dates, but what also stood out were so many caring and loving parents, standing behind their adult children's independence and right to have a love life. I found this very touching.

why would you be being unreasonable to watch a programme on tv :-/

I love it and actually think a lot of the people on there are very sweet. awful, awful programme name though.

It's very good imo - not voyeuristic at all. It's done very respectfully, and each blossoming romance is lovely to watch. Last night's was great, esp the young couple with autism/Aspergers who just seemed made for each other Smile

Agree that the title of the show is awful though

Is this a new series then? I saw the previous ones. Will watch on catch up too.

Personally, I think reality shows are boring, dating shows even more so. With the exception of a few makeover and cooking shows.

As long as they're being respectful to all involved with no coercion on either side, I think it's fine.

I will watch this on catch up as I enjoyed previous series.

The title is awful but I don't find the program itself exploitative or unpleasant towards those participating (unlike most reality TV). I don't feel that they do the clever editing or cutting to create artificial impressions of them and what happens (unlike most reality TV) and everyone comes across well and in what really seems to be their natural personalities. Those participating had their own very strong opinions about it all and I'm sure have given informed consent. It was informative about certain disabilities I was not aware of, and it was great to see their families as well and have an insight into how some disabilities effect them too.

(Am I the only one to have a bit of a crush on the Dad of the lad with Down Syndrome?)

I think the original participants had a hand in naming the show?
Forgot it had started again, I really enjoyed the last series, there were some lovely people on it Smile

I really enjoy the show, I don't think it's exploitative or anything. There's always so many lovely people on the show and they definitely come across really well so I don't think I've seen any bad or manipulative editing or anything Smile

I regularly see the wonderful man who wrote poetry in our local coffee shop. The waitresses do love him, always seems to be in his own very happy world.

Kab, I saw him at London Zoo over the summer, and didn't really twig why I recognised him, so said a cheery hello thinking he was someone I knew, he said hello back, and I was about to launch into a cheery conversation about our day at the zoo before I realised why I recognised him.

I was very chuffed with my star spotting. DH was a bit Hmm

The poet was adorable - you know he'll absolutely worship a girlfriend and he had such sweet old-fashioned gentlemanly manners. I really hope he finds someone to love him.

I really enjoy this show.

I think it's very sensitively done and in no more way mocks or pities the participants.

I have to say though I wasn't keen on the man with the shoulder obsession - he was pissed off people go for his looks rather than what's underneath whilst at the same time doing exactly the same thing in his search for a woman! I'm glad it worked out for them though.
