Have you never read or seen anything by Charlie Brooker before? Grin

He didn't say anything that wasn't true..

Why would you link a video that you think should be deleted? Surely you don't want people to see it.

He isn't vile at all, he's maybe a little nasty but ultimately he only calls her and fearne stupid. Aside from anything else he is reviewing the program, not the person. His view on this program is that it is vacuous, tedious and predictable. Which, from those clips, it certainly was.

Does this upset you because she's dead?

If this a joke post then I don't get it.

Thank you so much for posting this!
I really hope it doesn't get removed.

why should it be removed ??

Ummm I think you're over reacting. Its an old review of a TV programme, that quite frankly looks shit. Nothing in the bits they showed did Fern or Peaches any favours.

Peaches died tragically young and left behind two young boys - beyond sad. Don't think that can influence something that was filmed a long time ago though.

Why remove it? Dying doesn't change how somebody was in life. She was making a living by doing some inane stuff, big deal.

Just out of interest, would you like to remove any negative opinions out there about Margaret Thatcher, anything pointing out that Jade Goody was not the sharpest tack in the box, etc. What you are suggesting is sanctimonious censorship

Is it the antiques road show theme playing in the background?

Report
Bair · 05/01/2015 20:46

That was so much cringe.

Report
scratchandsniff · 05/01/2015 20:46

And why post it for more people to see if you're so offended by it and think its vile.

Ulterior motive me thinks

It's nearly 4 years old? I thought it was funny.

I posted the link so other people can report it and get it taken down. Looks like I've misjudged this tbh

I'd never seen it before now but I think it's quite funny

It was a shit show and he said so. No big deal.

I thought it was very very sad that Peaches died leaving two little boys motherless, but that clip is brilliant. Very funny.

sliceofsoup · 05/01/2015 20:55

We can't rewrite history just because someone died.

Report
ApocalypseThen · 05/01/2015 20:55

Does dying mean that you're immune from criticism, and that criticism made when you're alive has to be expunged?

LaurieFairyCake · 05/01/2015 20:56

He's fantastic and I urge you to watch the Wipe on catch up of 2014.

Er- it's Charlie Brooker. What were you expecting?

Report
LingDiLong · 05/01/2015 20:58

If you participate in a TV programme then you can expect it to be reviewed. That's what Charlie Brooker was doing. Should any criticism of Peaches Geldof be completely wiped out of history now she's died? The programme was a pile of vacuous shit, it's not offensive for people to say so.

Peaches Geldof herself was hardly shy of sharing her opinions on twitter.

The funniest thing is, because of the lack of some capital letters in your title, I thought this was going to be Charlie doing something dodgy with fruit......slightly disappointed!

AnneEyhtMeyer · 05/01/2015 21:03

Oh that was hilarious! I loved the bit with the two of them in the car and the bit when Peaches said that she was really into quantum physics which was why she was so spiritual.

Thanks for posting that, it was brilliant.

You can't expect people to go back and erase anyone saying anything nasty about those who have since died. Where on earth would it end?

Report
OhShittingHenry · 05/01/2015 21:19

Can you explain WHY you want it taken down OP or do you just want everyone to report it because you say so?

Report
chopinbabe · 05/01/2015 21:20

The background music is the theme to Miss Marple (Joan Hickson version)
