Really surprised at that decision. Would have been easy enough to zap the offending posts and maybe alter the title - I don't think anyone sensible really wanted to belittle the parents or the baby but the rest of it definitely needs and warrants further comment and scepticism.

someone should. with screen shots. and someone should be on twitter etc urging people not to donate to something which appears not to be above board.

Remember how quickly mn'ers were able to spread the word re riven?

what mn hq seem to be forgetting is that when if this all blows up and the authorities etc become involved the media will also potentially be interested that people were trying to question the validity of this on their site and were prevented from doing so.

God I hope so. What a total farce - MN HQ have really dropped the ball with this. It's a bit like silencing the dissent. Considering the utter tripe, weirdness and specific nastiness on this site I thought that thread was mild. Looks like it's ok to snipe at Katie Hopkins though - just not a set of new parents with a dodgy friend scamming money off people?

I think it's a shame that some people decided to make negative and personal comments about the people involved. This is why the thread Got deleted. It was a real and very important discussion going on about potentially fraudulent activity.The topic of crowdfunding is also very topical. I think this was a very bad call by mnhq and they should have cleansed the thread post by post.
