Are you renting? Perhaps it's just been left behind by previous tenants?

Have you ever had a kind of bring a dish thing? E.g. Someone brought a salad to a BBQ? Or taken some food home from someone else's house?

I found a single sock, covered in dust on my stairs earlier. Definitely does not belong to anyone in my house, nor does anyone in this house have a reason to cart around random dusty socks. Ive hidden it because it has freaked me right out.

That is really weird because we had a similar scenario with a similar rogue plate. Years later I remembered that I had bought when I was training to be a teacher and needed to demonstrate washing up hmm.

We have a green mug that gate crashed one day, no idea where it came from. confused

Do you think your plate may have come from a friend who brought cake to your house?

Have you got drunk recently and pinched a plate from a cafe?

youbethemummylion Sat 03-Jan-15 20:14:25

Could it have been found near your house and brought in my someone. DH is for ever bringing the pint glasses the drunks from the local pub leave on our windowsill in until I noticed our ever expanding pint glass collection and made him stop it.

I bet it's the plate Durham's friend returned to her on a night out, but was left in a pub and the friend cried over it.
