AIBU?

To be the only person up in my house?

So DD1(2.5) got up at 3.00am and wouldn't go back into her own bed ("mummy bed mummy bed").

DD2(7months) got up at 3.30am, but after a nappy change and feed went back to sleep at 4.00am. I return to bed to find DH has helpfully Hmm given DD1 his phone to keep her quiet, so he could go back to sleep so I could get DD2 to sleep.

DD1, being unhappy at having the phone taken off her, refused to go back to sleep, until finally at 7am grumpily she tells me "I tired" like it's my fault she's up in the first place.

I finally get back into bed and DH was snoring so loud I couldn't sleep, so I've got up.

Never again will I be able to read Peace at Last. Mr Bear and I have too much in common.

I am the only one up in my house - but I get up early because I relish the peace and quiet, I love the solitude - I can sit - just sit and do nothing, wallowing in silence, have a cup of tea in peace, read a book, do MN with no other calls on my time - because I am the only one up -

and it would be so rude to get on with any housework as it may awaken others......

Me too NoLonger. I get us at 5am most days, have coffee, read the news, do a bit of work and listen to the radio in peace.

EatShitDerek - I suffer from insomnia so I'm awake now anyway, but once the girls are awake he's in charge today, I'm going to have a nap (if I can).

I love your name btw, it's up there with FuckyouChrisandthathorse for me!

Beautiful silence.

Well DD2 is chuntering away now and I've just heard DD1 thundering into our room, so DH can get up and I'm off to bed!

I'm the only one up too. I went to bed last night and left DS (10) downstairs with his dad, it was about 1.15 am.

1.15am! Blimey, that's late, I hope he slept in this morning so he's not grumpy all day.

I had a bit of a rest upstairs, no sleep, now DH has taken DD1 to the shops to get out of my hair for a while (and get me a birthday card I would imagine). DD2 has just fallen asleep in her Jumparoo. In my effort to move her I now have a very awake and very upset baby on my hands. AIBU to slightly regret not just leaving her to sleep in the Jumparoo? Blush
