Washer dryers are the devils invention to keep me in wet washing till the end of time

I swear to god that our current washing machine's spin cycle gets things drier than our old washer dryer.

We used to have a washer drier; engineer that came out to fix said that when drying you need to have HALF of what you have actually washed in there for it to work properly. And even then they were shit. So I bought separate units when we moved. Stupid things

You need to halve the washing load when you put it in the dryer

I read the title and thought ' I wouldn't recommend doing that'

Canigetanamen Fri 02-Jan-15 22:44:00

I did half it I currently have the rest of the washing hung round our home it's just making my housework take twice a long and I am still not even convinced I am even getting the best was either

I take the washing out shake it up then put it back in before I put it on to dry. Things like towels take forever otherwise

Having had 3 weeks living with my mothers' hatefull washer/dryer, I swore that if I ever needed electrical assistance to dry stuff, I would take the hit of needing extra floor space.

Bastard thing hairdried one part of the arm of my favourite jumper to the point of it being tiny, despite the rest of the jumper being normal person sized.

Ah.. The good old washer/dryer. After 2 hours 'drying' its boiling hot..and sodden. Nip to the loo..its suddenly bone dry, shrunk and creased to fuck. angry

We have had two- a Hotpoint and a John Lewis. Have loved both of them.

They are dreadful. I recently bought a wall mounted one (condenser) as we are in rented and our kitchen has not got room for a normal size one

We installed it in the bottom of the fitted wardrobes and simply open the wardrobe door and window when we use it. It takes 4 kilos and is a brilliant drier. One of the best things I have ever bought smile

We had an utterly shit Indesit one for years. It finally died and we've replaced it with a John Lewis one which is a total joy. Full to the brim loads come out bone dry. Lovely.

We had one in a rented flat. I hated the very sight of it. Takes forever to dry things and shinks most items to Barbie size. I agree with pp BURN THE FUCKER angry
