You are entirely reasonable. My dd is the same, usually involving ironed clothes left on her bed for weeks - I find them crushed at the base of the bed obviously having been left there. It's the thoughtlessness of it all that irritates me. And the all to familiar ringing of 'its not a lot to ask, just put it away/take it through/wash it up/do your homework'. Yes, I am my mother...

I know exactly what you mean. I have a 12 year old daughter who thinks nothing of just leaving her school bag, PE kit, shoes, trainers etc. strewn around the lounge.

"Take it to your room" is one of my frequent war cries.

I empathise with you OP. My dd is 13 and is exactly the same. Clean underwear and socks I put on her bed, end up on the floor. There's crap all over her bedroom floor, just near her bin. TBH, I give up. I come out of her room and shut the door. I feel as though I am always nagging her, to no effect whatsoever!
