Aside from giving my DD a sandwich at 11 weeks and wondering why she didn't eat it... And finding a 3 week old ungrateful of her Christmas presents....

Tonight we've come home just after midnight, and found that both DD's are happily in bed. Beautiful. DD1 is in my bed but that's okay...

I go up there, and she's in leggings and a jumper. Bizarre PJs but again, okay. Until I think... I recognise those clothes... And they look pretty tight!!

They've taken off DD2's clothes and put them on DD1 as pyjamas.

And yes.

Vice versa.

(Happy new year! Especially to 1 year old DD2 in her bedtime party dress!!)

Are they another culture? Maybe it's some sort of unknown tradition? Xmas Grin

A tradition for new year!

That's very curious indeed, georgie! Happy new year!

Nope, they are from Surrey, same as us!

I've wrestled DD1 out of her 12 month leggings and jumper... Think I'm going to leave DD2 in her sequin dress (lightest sleeper in the world!!) and just hope that the fact that she's swimming in it means it won't be too itchy!!

I also want to know how a 3 week old was "ungrateful"?

skildpadden · 01/01/2015 01:50

you think not bathing kids is weird?!

If i were babysitting children for one night i wouldn't bother bathing them either!

This is amateur league weirdness, seriously.

I don't think not bathing kids is weird... I'm happy for them to skip a bath for one night!! It was the clothes swap!!

This is hilarious. I, too, want to hear about the 3 week old's Christmas ungratefulness.

And whether you disciplined her appropriately.

You can make this a lovely new family tradition now and do it every New Years Eve!

They were probably playing some sort of game before they fell asleep and MIL didn't to wake them to change them.

Odd, but not as odd as

My mother (an alcoholic), crashed her car in town, into the back of a parked car. My dad came and sorted it all out, begged the couple who owned the car not to report etc. Only for my uncle who is a lecturer to spray paint "inner city scum" on the poor couples door Shock
