Was feeling like this as pil always give random odd presents. This year for a gift bag with a couple of kitchen things from poundland, a sticker set and a kinder egg. Quite disappointed until I opened the card and it had a cheque in it. I suggested I'd get something nice for baby (due in New year) and she said it was for me too treat myself with. Feel bad for thinking unreasonable thoughts.

I got a lovely white, plastic, microwaveable egg poacher from the PIL

Oh and a nice new microwave as a joint present for DH and I from them. I was a bit when I opened the egg poacher but then when we opened the microwave. Our old one broke about 10 years ago

DH got me Billy Idol's biography 'Dancing With Myself'. Can't wait to sit with a glass of wine to read it in peace while DH take the DD's out
