AIBU?

To have cried like a little baby this evening?

I've been a little depressed by the threads re ungrateful children and presents, so I thought I'd share this story. Today, my beautiful, clever, amazing nephew, who is 15.5 yrs with severe CP and no speech sent his first ever, unassisted email. We as a family clubbed together to buy him the keyboard and 'mouse' he needed.

The email took 35mins, and he sent it to my DH:

Dear Uncle [DH name]

Now I don't have to wait for Dbro/ Dad to rip you when Hotspurs lose!

Ha ha

D Nephew xx

DH has printed it out and says it is 'in a frame going in the office on Monday.' His English suffers when he's emotional, bless him!

How did you guess Ellen? Wink It really does feel like a miracle. It's such a small thing, but it will make such a difference! Grin I just wish there was more funding for other children to get the chance.

Not a small thing at all. Fantastic to give him some independence and better ability to share what's going on in his mind. Flowers Xmas Smile

Not keen on Chelsea, myself. Prefer Spurs from when Gary Mabbutt payed for them. Wink
