Actually just realised they are individual pieces so that is the all in one part blown away isn't it.

I think they are to hold up long stemmed plants, so they stick in the ground and you make sure the stem is in the hooky bit.

Are they for holding wine glasses off the ground if you're having a picnic?

I thought they were to dry Wellington boots on after wearing them out in the wet!

Use them as whatever they will be useful for. Be inventive :)

No point in wasting the gift. May as well get some use out of it :)

So if that is kitchen roll holder then sorted.

Why on earth would you need to keep a wine glass off the floor while camping? It's not like the base touching the ground is the same as drinking the wine from a puddle!

Out on a limb here splodgeses, as I don't go camping, but to stop the glasses falling over

Wrap them back up and re gift them next year Grin

Or to stop insects climbing up the glass.

Less likely to blow over if it's windy.

I've seem them in catalogues as picnic or just outdoor eating accessories, rather than camping. If you're the kind that drinks out of a proper wine glass when camping, then you'd probably have a wee table to put it on too.

Thanks, I don't drink wine and when we have been camping in the past, I put my drinks on the table, floor, wherever really but then orange squash is not nearly as valued as wine by most
The idea about the insects made me chuckle, because if they can climb a glass stem, they can climb a wine glass holder too Grin
