It's still magical even when you're an adult.

Hold on isn't everyone meant to be building bikes and such things till you get so tired you crawl to bed? I'm off to bed now hopefully I sleep because I'll be woken up 4AM by my early riser Xmas Angry

I never sleep well on Christmas Eve! I'm 50 and DD is 18...

Building bikes?

I've been shoving Pringles into my gob. What have I missed??

YANBU... My brain just will not let me sleep properly on Christmas Eve. I always feel kind of excited but also oddly wound up about not being able to sleep which then makes it worse IYSWIM. And then I stay awake so long that I'm hungry and then I find it hard to sleep when I'm hungry... Xmas Blush

Short answer: YANBU, you are definitely not the only grownup for whom the act of getting to sleep is as hard at 23 as it was at 5. My DH has generously agreed to a 6.39 alarm for stockings. :D

6.30... Not that precise!!

I've begged dh not to wake the dc early, he's promised not to crack.

I'll still not sleep though Grin

Arg, I'm a little upset at ds2 presents.
we got him a electric scooter and quickly decided that its not for him and ds1(8) now has it (ds2(5) as it goes VERY fast and ds2 wouldn't be able to control it.

We also got him a go kart for age 5+ however it looks too small for him... I think the sizing is wrong.

He still has plenty of presents, just a little disappointed that the gifts we got him aren't suitable/too small.

I had a shocking night'z sleep partly due to excitement and partly due to dh snoring/tossing and turning. Feel like I only dozed since 2am and ds is now awake. It will be a long day!

I'm awake! Too excited/nervous to sleep and DH drank too much of Santa's whiskey and has been snoring, which hasn't helped.
