I like wrapping small rectangles. Everything else can screw off...

Yes, I hate wrapping now. I used to love it when the kids were little, but after years and years of it, it does my head in. I've finished wrapping all my presents, did the last one today. <smug smiley> fgrin

I like doing it, but I don't do it all in one go.

Mine are all wrapped, too. I finished 2 weeks ago! <smug cow smiley> fgrin

Use gift bags. We do, then we re-use them every year. Easy.

I used the tip on here about using the ironing board. It was amazing - so much easier. I am never going back to sitting on the floor.

I can do rectangles (just) but all other shapes look like my 5yo had a good go!

I even had a course years ago when working in retail (you know, no tape visible). luckily they didn't give out 'fail' certificates...

I do mine with no tape visible etc. Only thing is I have ended up back in hospital again, so DH is in charge ... there will be tape visible from space. But never mind, it's what's inside that counts to the kids anyway lol.

YANBU

The only thing worse is decorating the fucking tree!

Vodka.

When you have gift-wrapped year after year, boxes and gift bags grow in appeal!

No tape visible? How does that work? I can do no visible tape as long as you don't turn the present over smile

they showed us a impossible folding technique that holds it all together.

Thereshegoes Mon 22-Dec-14 18:46:01

Wine.
That is all.

shadowfax07 Mon 22-Dec-14 18:46:38

YANBU. Double sided sticky tapes helps with the 'no tape' look though.

Theas18 Mon 22-Dec-14 18:46:41

i'm with the OP. I wouldn't bother if I could get away with it. I'm temped to have a big box per child next year, and some foam peanuts and do a " lucky dip!

Badvocinapeartree Mon 22-Dec-14 18:47:12

Gift bags.
Lots and lots.

MrsNutella Mon 22-Dec-14 18:47:35

So like some kind of evil present wrapping origami?
If I google that will I find really useful diagrams??

mausmaus Mon 22-Dec-14 18:48:59

now I know why my mum just got big santa sacks for each of us instead grin

batgirl1984 Mon 22-Dec-14 18:49:16

Do they have to be wrapped? Could you not just tie a bow on them? I enjoy wrapping so I do, but when I think about it, it seems kind of pointless! X

greenfolder Mon 22-Dec-14 18:53:24

you need the wrapping drinking game. Each time you lose the scissors, sellotape or cut the paper the wrong size, you knock back a shot.

it doesnt get much wrapping done but makes it bearable

Instead you should wrap a cat [http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=jm3dm5J5r0A like this!]
