Well unless they have all marched into your living room, you could always just turn the TV off...

Hmmm.....
Perhaps look beyond the choir at the often very difficult lives the military wives lead. Alternatively, don't watch them. Hmm

I like watching the military wives.

IRL though I found him to be a pretentious twat though. He can piss off.

Agree with those who suggest you don't watch or read anything with them in it/ on telly.

I like him and I know many many others do too so YABVVVVU to me

He's just very typical of music students and music graduates (based on my experience)

Sparklingbrook · 22/12/2014 17:32

So that's all sorted then. On majority think he is fine. Good.

RedTinsel · 22/12/2014 17:34

But he's so sweet and lovely. Unfailingly enthusiastic.
How can anyone not like him?

I knew I'd find sparkling on here defending him.

At first my feelings towards him were maternal......these days it's more of a murderous feeling. He is a tad irritating and smug.

No offence to Military Wives, I think they are great.

Put batteries in your remote......so you can switch it off. And maybe turn that frown upside down at the same time?

Sparklingbrook · 22/12/2014 18:04

Too right Mardy. i hope it isn't a trap. Shock

I do blame him for the explosion of military choirs everywhere and the expectation that I should join one or have done.

Never ever ever am I doing that, the thought makes me cringe.

Oh, you're putting ANOTHER choir together Gareth? Bore off.

Although it's more the BBC's fault for endlessly remaking the same programme.

Report
Sparklingbrook · 22/12/2014 18:09

Choirmasters do tend to put choirs together. Grin

MardyBra · 22/12/2014 18:10

You could say that about anything really diving. Oh look, Clarkson's driving another car, ok look Cowell's auditioning another singer. Just turn it off if you're not interested.

I sing in a choir and I'm interested in how puts the groups together, the personalities involved, the music he selects, how he coaches them and what sound they manage to produce together after that process. And I also fancy him in a slightly creepy maternal way.

sparkling said it much more succinctly than me.

Just because choirs aren't your thing doesn't mean others don't find them fun and a good social event

I think the naysayers are the ones who frankly need to bore off

I think hes cute and done alot for alot of different people, including the military wives. He gave them a voice and as a result confidence in our amazing these strong ladies are. If you dont like him op turn the tv off. What you done for other people op? Xmas Grin

The people who sing in my local wives choir have great fun but it gets a tad annoying getting asked to join all the time. I'm a terrible singer and would be more of a hindrance than anything. Plus I would be too embarrassed anyway, which is my own issue I know.
