Is that England only? Or Wales too? Scotland doesn't have such archaic restrictions on Sundays!

In Scotland you can go to Tesco or Asda 24 hours ,if the store keeps those hours, to buy anything save for alcohol.
Booze is only available 10am til 10 pm by law. This may include wine gums so I've heard.

Look on website but yes some supermarkets open 30-1hour earlier but you cant buy till 10.30 or 11am depending on shop. I use that time to get everything i need whilst its quiet.

On Sundays they do open early, but you can't buy anything until 10. Or pick up anything from click and collect, even though you've paid for it already. sad

Isn't asda 10:30 or 11 on Sunday's? I know here it is and open later than tesco. Tesco 10-4 but you can go in at 9:30 to browse. Asda 11-5 but you can go in at 10:30 to browse

I've already done a big shop at ASDA this morning and back already.

Our tescos opens at 10.30 but you can browse from 10 onwards.

Shuts at four which is a right PITA.

Brummiegirl15 Sun 21-Dec-14 08:35:58

In England on Sunday it's 10am. So our local one is 24 hours but it closes at midnight Saturday night - reopens 10am - 4 pm Sunday. Closes at 4 and reopens at midnight

bigbluestars Sun 21-Dec-14 08:36:50

Archaic.
