AIBU?

To think this is a poor excuse of a mother?

Apologies for Daily Mail link.

A woman has been jailed for 18 months after horrendously abusing people in her care in her position as a manager in the care home owned by her parents.
It came to light due to her brother very bravely blowing the whistle.
The family have now cut contact with him, not her.
AIBU to be disgusted by that?

YANBU but he is better off out of the vile family.

They blame him for killing off their cash cow, & it emphasises their condoning of his monstrous sisters behaviour, & speaks volumes about their attitude to their poor clients.

He's better off having no further contact with these monsters. The mother was found not guilty but surely she must have seen what went on in her 'care' home? The sister sounds like a psychopath. Is 18 months long enough in prison? She could be out in 9 months. Doesn't say much for the judicial system if abuse of the elderly is punished so lightly.
I admire the son and his partner (who also worked there) for blowing the whistle. They've both lost their jobs now. Hopefully they'll find other work soon.

I really admire him too. Somehow he has turned out to be a decent human being despite coming from a vile family. Agree eighteen months is a derisory sentence.
