I brought sims 3 in October - (Sad I know haha!)
In the last two weeks I have been having issue's...! I have been constant trouble shooting with the "Tech Guys" last night was the latest for 2 hours!
They won't refund me they just want me to constantly troubleshoot..! How long I am suppose to do this for is unknown!
Getting a bit frustrated!
Anyone else had problems with them?!

Software refunds can be difficult if it's your system that is incompatible, rather than the software being fault.

The Sims 4 is supposed to be easier on struggling computers, you could enquire about the cost to upgrade?

It worked from October until recently?
Surely if it's a software problem it wouldn't of worked?
Tbh after all this I really don't want anything more to do with Sim's.
It's been ridiculous.
I have spent quite a bit of money in that time to get 8 expansion packs on top of just the sims game. So pretty disappointed.
At the start I was willing to take some simpoints but they wouldn't even offer that.

What errors are you getting?

JCDenton - My latest problem is that the game won't save, I play it for about 15 mins and then go to save it and the egg cup and the spinny thing come on but they never go I either have to bring up the task manager if I can manage it or hit the power button on the pc.

Have you tried: "Remove your Saves folder (put it on the desktop). Start a new game (a new Saves folder will be created) and see if that saves. If it does, one of your Saved games is corrupt. Put your other games back in one at a time and test each one to see if they will save now."

I have tried that :(... I have done a lot of thing's.. I have been on the help thing quite a bit and also had some bloke emailing me to do some thing's in task manager.. Not sure how much they expect you to do before they say there is a problem?!

I have looked on google moved my family too another town as people have suggested and still no better...! I am kinda pulling my hair out about it.!

Some computers can only cope with so many expansion packs .
My advice would be uninstall and and the reinstall and stop at the one before last expansion pack. Because that is as much as your computer can handle .
And try and get rid of the saved games . And don't add anything else.

I won't be able to uninstall and reinstall some of them because I have brought them on the store so don't actually have a physical CD... I cant even find the purchases in my history which is strange.!

But it has been working since I added the last expansion pack...So I am not sure! If that's my problem?

There's a brilliant and very active forum for Sims, called ModTheSims. Also Crazy Town is a good Sims 3 forum. They should be able to help you out, they're friendly there (like mumsnet :)) I'm a die hard Sims 2 fan so stick to that section but I'm sure they'd help. EA customer support are rubbish.

I'm very very happy with them at present as I'm on Mac and there is currently no release of Sims 4 on that.
If there was its safe to say there would be nothing achieved in this house until mid January. I had to uninstall prison architect after I lost a week to it.
I get far too addicted.

Haha oh tell me about it..! I am totally addicted to Sims 3.. I have been put off Sims 4 by the price so might hopefully wait for it to come down in price first lol! But I am sure I will be getting sims 4 at some point lol!
