She is bloody brilliant! Just want to drum up a bit of support on her behalf really. I would love her to do well tonight.

marcopront Sun 14-Dec-14 09:31:02

Who is she?

Storytown Sun 14-Dec-14 09:32:34

No, we want Max to win.

Although TBH, anyone but Lewis grin

itispronouncedpenguin Sun 14-Dec-14 09:37:38

No thanks. I'm voting for Lizzy Yarnold, shes awesome.

MuseumOfHam Sun 14-Dec-14 09:38:10

Will be voting for Jo, she's an inspiration.

Getoffmyland Sun 14-Dec-14 09:38:32

Tried to post a link to her macropront but not the most technically savvy, sorry! In a nutshell she won the European 10,000m gold medal this summer at the age of 41. She had given birth to her baby 10mths before this as well as having a four year old. How she did it, I do not know! Really hope she does well tonight, as in my opinion, the BBC doesn't always have a good track record of recognising females in the world of sport..and this woman is exceptional.

Tough list this year.

Don't think Gareth Bale/Lewis Hamilton deserve to win.

I will be voting for Charlotte Dujardin

RosesandRugby Sun 14-Dec-14 09:47:52

Sorry, I'm voting Charlotte Dujardin too along with almost everyone I know. I'm sure she will get plenty of votes anyway but I vote for those in the sports I follow. grin

Getoffmyland Sun 14-Dec-14 10:01:58

That's certainly fair enough, if you have already made your minds up. For any floating voters / people who weren't intending to vote at all - please do consider the marvellous Jo! I think she is extraordinary and her achievements this summer certainly gave me a boost (sudden realisation as a 38 yr old working Mum of 2 - that there are still things to be achieved out there!!).

CherryLips1980 Sun 14-Dec-14 10:17:46

Another voting for Charlotte

Dinnerfor1 Sun 14-Dec-14 10:21:25

I'll be voting for Jo. You're right - she is amazing!

muffinino82 Sun 14-Dec-14 10:23:53

YANBU to ask, she is very deserving.

But I will be voting for Charlotte grin

mrsruffallo Sun 14-Dec-14 10:24:07

Hmm, not sure about this.

Mrmonkey Sun 14-Dec-14 12:24:31

Another vote for Charlotte here, she has achieved so much and gets so little national recognition! In most sports if you were olympic, world and European champion all at the same time when the sport has previously been dominated by the Germans as the Dutch you would have made the news!

Another vote for Charlotte Dujardin. Equestrianism is the only sport where men & women compete on a completely level playing field and it get woefully little publicity or air time.

carabos Sun 14-Dec-14 13:56:15

Jo is brilliant and I would love to vote for her but have to vote for Charlotte instead -(politics - professional dressage household).

fascicle Sun 14-Dec-14 14:09:29

She can have a vote from me. All that training with a buggy definitely paid off.

sharon56bus Sun 14-Dec-14 14:40:11

The Shooting is also competed for equally by men and women ........

jay55 Sun 14-Dec-14 15:26:41

I'm voting for max, no gymnast has ever won.

RunningAwayFromMyMind Sun 14-Dec-14 15:33:03

I'm extreamly surprised Steve Way wasn't put forward for this. He's an amazing inspiration.

Whatdoesaduckdo Sun 14-Dec-14 15:39:56

I'm voting for Kelly Gallagher fab local lady who has achieved so much

2of3 Sun 14-Dec-14 15:44:08

Lewis Hamilton gets my vote.

waithorse Sun 14-Dec-14 15:49:04

I'm voting for Lizzy Yarnold.

alovelycuppatea Sun 14-Dec-14 15:54:46

I agree! Jo Pavey for me....superbe achievement...am hoping that I am still walking never mind running only a few months after having my baby!

hellyhants Sun 14-Dec-14 16:04:29
