Julian Barratt for David Attenborough

Obviously this isn't U. Just thought I would see what others think.

So, one day David Attenborough will stop narrating (wish he would go on forever). I have watched other wildlife programs on NatGeo etc and they are just missing something, that something being David Attenborough doing the narration.

There is something about his voice that makes the documentary complete and keeps me watching.

So I was watching Life on Netflix the other day and was trying to think of someone who could replace him, I just couldn't. But just now I have realised that I think the perfect replacement would be Julian Barratt - from Mighty Boosh fame. He has done the string of mini documentaries on the BBC - The Fifteen Billion Pound Railway, The Route Masters: Running London's Roads, The Tube: An Underground History and Channel 4's 999: What's your emergency?

I think he would be the perfect replacement, he has that same calming, comforting, trustwortyh voice that David Attenborough has.

I love Julian Barratt, by far the most talented of the 2. Bit like Reeves and Mortimer, always thought Bob Mortimer was the brains behind it.

I believe Julian Barratt wrote the the Mighty Boosh - he is very talented. Unlike Fielding who is just a bit of a tit really.

Highlandbird - I wish David would be around forever, but Barratt would be a good replacement imo

I'm normally the same with nature docs but I really enjoyed Yellowstone which was narrated by Peter Firth.

I did not know that Barratt wrote the Mighty Boosh, I just assumed it was 50/50 but I think he is by far the more intelligent and talented of the two. I agree Fielding is just a clown.

Yes, I believe Fielding had very little to do with the writing of the mighty boosh. Barratt is also a very accomplished musician.

I'd vote for Barrett. And I love Sir Dave so very much, and actually Julian would be a grand replacement.

Especially if he dropped in the very occasional Boosh-esque randomer.
