Yes! I agree, no idea why though?! Very annoying.

They prefer to use every fecking pan in the bloody cupboard. And make a mess.

I don't know why this is. One of life's mysteries, I guess!

I must be then man in my house, no problems with the size used but I use every pot/saucepan/ any thing else when cooking.
Husband is a one pot guy, sometimes a frying pan.
No issues with him cooking pasta or rice, actually x 2 BIL's regularly cook at mine and don't make a crazy mess or struggle to know what size equipment to use.

A bit of a generalisation here.

My dear late H cooked well, used few pans and always cleared up after himself. I loved whatever he cooked.

My DH is the rice king. It's me who uses the wrong pan.

Nope YABVU, well, where my DP is concerned anyway as he uses huge pans. The bigger the better as far as he's concerned.

oh and the other side of the coin....dh will often use a GIANT pan for peas for two people. :o

GIANT pan DH here! 2 boiled eggs in the biggest pan we've got! Why??!

Peas need room to bobble about, Cats. They lose flavour if they are cramped.

WHY DO ALL WOMEN, ABSOLUTELY EVERY SINGLE FUCKING ONE OF THEM INSIST ON USING SAUCEPANS THE SIZE OF BATHS TO COOK THEIR RICE IN!

Don't they care that they're using more energy to heat it?! Don't they care about the boyzone layer? Women are all panda murdering planet destroyers! The lovely county of Royal Berkshire what I do live in will soon be a desert thanks to those bumpy chested rice drowners! Can you imagine a world without Maidenhead?!?!?!

For god's sake use smaller pans women!

My dh uses the biggest pan he can find for all his cooking. And he clears up beautifully afterwards. But we have a rice-boiler machine so it's very easy to do rice.
I think he feels tiny pans are cissy! Anyway, where he comes from they use massive great cauldrons over charcoal fires, so that's where he gets his preference for gynormous cooking pots.

OP, YABU of course for such a gender based generalisation Wine

This made me laugh. Especially since LeopardInABobbleHat clearly has bobble on the brain.
