Erm Biscuit or Xmas Biscuit perhaps

Report
NoelleHawthorne · 13/12/2014 11:55

Oh you are probably right, people who have come on here to post a fricking biscuit.
Just I dislike the OP telling ys how we should respond to a post.
YOU MUST BE LIGHT HEARTED

and who even says that in real life.

Jeeze, I've seen some objectionable behaviour on MN but people posting 'lighthearted'. Really??

Is the Christmas stress getting to you?

Report
NoelleHawthorne · 13/12/2014 11:58

i am not stressed about Christmas. At all. Its a day with a roast meal.

'triggering' is massively overused.

Report
NoelleHawthorne · 13/12/2014 11:59

imagine you started a thread

" i hate my skirts " SAD THREAD

People would think you were nuts

RubberBulletKisses · 13/12/2014 12:02

It's not really telling you how to respond to a post though. It's telling you how the poster intends their post to come across.

Report
NoelleHawthorne · 13/12/2014 12:05

then they should post more skilfully?

I think "Triggers" is really valid - better a bit of overuse, which affects no-one at all, than someone inadvertantly reading a post which causes them problems

Report
Nomama · 13/12/2014 12:05

I've never posted a biscuit before.... I have always thought they were a bit Confused or should that be Envy ?

Maybe you should try being a little more light hearted OP?

Report
softlysoftly · 13/12/2014 12:08

I agree but then people should also not seek to take offence to everything.

But then it's an open Internet forum which tends towards the "worthy" so take it or leave it

They have to do it or they get people like you raging at them. Can't win can they!

Everybody should chill the fuck out.

It's christmas.

I don't understand people who post threads moaning about idiosyncrasies of posters or the forum in general. Should we only post in a prescribed manner? People can post how they want.

YANBU.

'Triggering' has become a new buzzword and it really gets on my tits.

As does 'lighthearted.' in brackets in a thread title.

It's as though we are not capable of spotting the humour or irony in a thread for ourselves.

And no, I am not suffering from Christmas related stress, just getting a bit weary of tedious cliches.

And while we are on the subject I also really dislike 'meltdown' and 'rapey.'

StillStayingClassySanDiego · 13/12/2014 12:37

I don't think it really matters, I might read the thread or not but I don't get worked up about how another poster chooses to compose their thread.

Life is too short. Xmas Wink

Perhaps you should have put '[NOT LIGHT HEARTED BUT IN FACT RATHER REPETITIVELY PO-FACED]' in your title.
