To string DH up by his balls...

Just been up into attic today to get tree and decorations down for the dc to decorate. Tree is there but no decorations.

They were in a box clearly labelled Christmas decorations... gone! There is another box with a "for the tip" label which I asked DH to take when he went.

It's looking like he taken the wrong box to the tip and he's on a works do tonight so can't ask him, well I can but I am fuming and would probably spoil his night. The dc are upset, I'm trying to make light of it but I am seething.

I know we can buy more, but there were lots of ones that the dc have made over the years and some which my mum gave me before she died.

I am really bloody angry and feel like ringing him to get himself home and find them... I won't!

Mrsmorton Fri 12-Dec-14 19:29:42

Didn't you post this before??

FoxgloveFairy Fri 12-Dec-14 19:29:45

Coat the testacles in gold and use them to decorate the tree? Pity he has only two, but it's a start. Perfectly reasonable, I think. A well balanced and fair response! grin

Allbymyselfagain Fri 12-Dec-14 19:30:31

Word for word read this before im sure.

whereismagic Fri 12-Dec-14 19:31:44

I would scream at him tomorrow morning when he is hangover just to make a really good point about reading labels. grin

CheeseBuster Fri 12-Dec-14 19:31:45

Had this thread already but this time the boxes are labelled and you are slightly less screechy.

MillionToOneChances Fri 12-Dec-14 19:32:33

Last time they were in the conservatory. I think here are a lot of idiot DHs out there waiting to be gelded.

waithorse Fri 12-Dec-14 19:32:42

hmm

minionmadness Fri 12-Dec-14 19:38:10

No definitely not posted about it before... clearly another dickhead on the loose.

Euphemia Fri 12-Dec-14 20:16:32

Oh really? What about this?

hmm

Mousefinkle Fri 12-Dec-14 20:34:34

One January dh left the decs box next to ds's cot for the night rather than in the cupboard behind the cot. Small boy got hold of Angela, the treetop fairy from my childhood my mum bestowed on me for my tree. And he ripped her limb from limb. I cried. But glad he didn't hang himself on the tinsel.

I would be furious. Can he read? I would give all his books etc to charity, as he has obviously only been pretending all this time that he can. He'll have to pay for all new decorations, and do a lot of arse kissing to make this up.

Ffs OP has said she hasn't posted before, if you have an issue take it up with MNHQ!

minionmadness Fri 12-Dec-14 21:13:58

You can all Deja-vu till the cows come home... it's still not me.

It doesn't make me feel any better that some other poor sod has a dickhead DH who can't read either.

BreakfastAtStephanies Fri 12-Dec-14 21:22:44

Maybe your DH didn't like the decorations? Accidentally on purpose took away the wrong box. I am not excusing him, mind

Bulbasaur Fri 12-Dec-14 21:44:03

Could it be he didn't take any box to the tip and the Christmas box is somewhere else?

3littlefrogs Fri 12-Dec-14 21:48:33

These things do happen.
BIL took a box of antique books to the tip and left me the box of completely worthless tatty paperbacks.
DS took a box of tools to the tip and left me a box of junk.

Everything was clearly labelled, but some people can't be bothered to check. sad

ScreamingSpires Fri 12-Dec-14 22:06:54

As I said on the other thread, I carefully bagged up a load of ski gear, put it in a safe place, then a few weeks later I gathered it up myself, drove it to the tip and threw it in a skip.

All has to be replaced for the next trip facepalm

I put a box of DC's toys in the garage loft, well I asked DH to years ago. Then I became a Child minder and thought it would be great to get those old toys back. They had gone. DH must have accidentally got rid during a spring clean. I was gutted as they were the favourite toys that held special memories and I wad keeping them for future grand kids.

TimelyNameChangey Sat 13-Dec-14 08:12:42

Do people really imagine that people don't have similar problems to other people? This is a common problem in a way...my sister's DH did the same thing.

CakeAndWineAreAFoodGroup Sat 13-Dec-14 08:16:57

Why would you put a box of stuff for the tip back in the loft?

I don't drive but if I get anything ready for the tip it goes straight in the car ready for the tip. Not put it carefully back next to stuff I need to keep. Especially not if my oh were a habitual taker of treasured irreplaceable Christmas decs to the tip.

hmm
