AIBU?

To ask dd if she has poo on her knickers?

Should read will I be unreasonable to ask her this on Xmas day?
Bought her a lovely cami and matching knickers with Pooh bear on ( from Primark adults clothing). As I was wrapping them, the evil thought crossed my mind. Who dares me?
I probably will anyway, just to wind her up, but before everyone else arrives. She is 16 by the way.

Would she find it funny? Or would it embarrass her? It seems like a crass thing to say to a 16 year old on Christmas morning.

Yeah a bit odd - but if you think she will find it funny and not in front of everyone -also isn't it a bit peado to sell adult underwear with kids characters on them!

'A bit peado' Confused

She will probably roll her eyes, and say, oh mummy!
You really think that is odd? There is loads of stuff in Primark with characters on. It didn't even cross my mind. Hmm

Since when was Winnie the Pooh "a bit peado"?!?! Shock

It sounds like the sort of thing we would do...poohed pants hehehe

Might have to pop into primark for dd

No it's not odd at all. The 'paedo' comment is very strange.

And OP, I dare you hehehe

(See, now you can do it but can blame MN)

Grin I'd do it. I'd be obnoxious about it too.

"Why was Tigger fishing in the toilet? To find poo!"

Obviously you know your daughter and how sensitive or fun she is.

Don't we have kids just to embarrass them? :)
Paedo comment is weird

They are quite sweet. Cream colour with lace trim and teeny pastel pooh bear. They are a nice cross between kid and adult wear, I wouldn't buy them for anyone older than about 20. She wears a cami vest under her school blouse every day.

It's a lame pun. It's not evil or something that requires daring to say.
It's just not very funny. But teenagers like it when we show them that we are lame and a bit tragic.

Also. "a bit paedo" ? What the actual fuck does that mean ?

Peado underwear for adults... You do realize how contradictory this is?

Not sure id have found this funny at 16. Wouldn't have been embarrassed, although may have been embarrassed at how shocking my DM's sense of humour was. If you think she will find it funny though, go for it!

I've done that to my DD Grin
Also told DH that I'd bought some really really expensive knickers, they had Bambi on them. They were a little deer.....

Cross post, completely agree with Pag. Not sure why you'd need daring to say it, it's not particularly risqué.

Dhs sense of humour is worse. She is used to us. Her boyfriend is called Josh. We've used up a few jokes there.

dingit are you married to my DH? When DD had a boyfriend called Harry all we had for weeks were choruses of 'its Harry I'm planning to marry'.

You really want to know?

He has been for dinner, curry ( rogan Josh)
If we pull her leg about him, we are just joshing.
They went to the shops for me to get a loaf of bread and came back with brioche by mistake ( brie josh )
Josh a minute...
There are probably more. I did warn you ( sorry) Smile

For a 16 pooh underwear sounds like a nice cross between adult and child and agree no one over 20.

Probably just me who sees the concept of wearing underwear as an adult with kids characters on as either demeaning to women as making us childish or if worn by a grown women in the context of a sexual relationship just a bit icky blurring childish things and things which could be seen in a sexual context!
