Because he gave 2 year old DS his old mouth organ and then went out for the afternoon. I have had a bad headache for 2 days. This is not helping Grin

I now have 2 choices:

  1. Confiscate mouth organ and listen to DS scream incessantly until its returned

  1. Listen to ds "playing" the mouth organ.

Somehow neither is appealing

So AIBU to be considering retiring for a long hot bath as soon as DP is home and letting him choose between the two options and also to devise some terrible punishment for him!!

I think you should record your son playing the mouth organ and play it back to your partner at full blast, right in his ear, at 5am every morning for a month.

I realise that this involves you getting up at 5am every morning for a month, but sometimes one is required to make sacrifices. Grin

Record it and set it as his ring-tone :-)

  1. Buy DS a drum kit for Christmas.
  2. LTB
  3. Send drum kit to his house.

This may be a little drastic.

Take him out and buy him a ukelele. Nylon strings are much easier on the ear drums, plus the added bonus that he'll drop the mouth organ long enough that you can insert it somewhere unpleasant on your dp

Or return the favour tomorrow but with a sopranino recorder

My 2yo loves his "g'Tar" btw, just the right size for little hands!

Hot bath -good plan. Or is there a friend nearby who really needs to see you urgently? I'm sure he can look after DS and probably appreciate spending time together bonding over the love of the mouth organ!

Does he use his phone as an alarm in the mornings? Record it and set it to the alarm noise! Failing that, definitely set it to his ringtone Grin
