AIBU?

To not slap George Osborne in the face should I meet him

Now mn I think we can all agree that Osborne is a smug faced greasy ass spawn of Satan. He is top of my list of faces I'd love to slap. In fact he may top my all time list beating even Renee zig weirder (I like that auto correct am keeping it, sure you will figure it out).

However, Satan's spawn has just saved me the guts of £4K on a house purchase. What with that, and it being the season of gooD will, I am thinking that should I happen upon him, WIBU to refrain from giving him a good slap. I think maybe until the new year then all bets are off.

Fair dos. I have a teaching colleague who was once in arm's length of Michael Gove & didn't even punch him in the nads.

She felt it would reflect badly on the charity she was representing.

After a couple of terms, we even let her back in the staffroom, & stopped hiding her mugs & photocopying our bottoms on her printer credits.

YABVVVVU to resist the urge even in the season of goodwill.

Personally I would prefer to walk on his face with some particularly spiky dominatrix style stilettoes......

Dunno. Is that £4K you're going to have to shell out elsewhere because the council have removed your MIL's home care after Georgie Boy cut funding?

Swings & roundabouts, an' all that.

He walked past me in a pub once, and by the time I realised it was definitely him, I desperately tried to sum up how I felt in one pithy soundbite, failed, and watched him being driven off in his green range rover.

What should I have said?

I did give him a Paddington hard stare.

I think "you sir, are a total cunt sir. That is all" would suffice.

He's my MP and he's not a bad bloke really
Just trying to sort out the shit the last lot left us in.I realise I'll probably be expelled from MN for expressing this opinion. Good call on the stamp duty.

I hear you OP. We're about to start looking for a house, and we frequently fly to the US with children. It's like he made these announcements with my specific family in mind. So I can't find it in me to hate him today.

Tomorrow though... Grin

We have saved £4k on stamp duty too. I sent a jokey text to left wing socialist teacher DH with #lovethetories and he's now pissed off with me. Confused

I'm sure my confused feelings will have re-righted themselves by 7 May.

I think you have to slap him. His smug face absolutely demands it. But-I do like the dragonfly wallpaper in the Osborne & Little range.Although I feel slightly sordid admitting that.

Yabu. You should still slap him but leave out the kick in the balls.

Yabu.
It's a one off saving, he's taken away plenty more with the other hand.
Despite being a pacifist in general he has the sort of smug face I'd never tire of slapping.

To be fair politics aside I would much rather slap Ed Balls as his cheeks would wobble and I find him far far more annoying.

George would respond better to a swat. Like an annoying buzzing fly.

Now that total bell and Gove! Really Raven your friend is a disgrace. Smile

The thing is that he has saved you £4k but all that will happen is that sellers will raise their asking price by the amount stamp duty has been lowered. We need house prices to fall, not rise. House prices are insane in this country, around 10 x income at the very lowest.

WELL DONE Hakluyt!!! Thanks

I'd slap him, for what he has done to Disability Benefits and what is happening to the Disabled community in general.
Then I'd slap his 'mucker' "ShineyDave don't tell ME about the disabled".
But then of course I'd get carted off whilst they smirked.
So, I think I would simply tell them what disgusting human beings they were.
Not that they'd care, but it NEEDS saying.

I did see someone in RL today who has behaved appallingly.
Normally I'd sidle past but I gave a VERY hard stare.

I'd slap him.

Cutting taxes is not a good thing. Especially when borrowing has gone up and disabled people and other vulnerable people's benefits are being cut to pay for it.

I wish people would see past their own front door and realise what is really happening in this country.

Ugh, I wouldn't slap him, it would mean I'd have to touch that clammy skin.

One little policy while simultaneously trying to kill people with disabilities. Smoke and fucking mirrors.

Good point, Electric. Perhaps you could use a slimy fish to slap him . It would probably be more pleasant to touch.

I like George Osbourne and think the stamp duty change is great.

I really don't like people making personal comments about someone - it seems irrelevant and the worst bit of politics.
