AIBU?

AIBU to refuse to go on holiday with him?

It's a bit of a long story, sorry.
Went with my DF on a business trip, trying to mend relationship after I fell pregnant (not his, long story, all Cousin Gabe's fault - seriously thinking of going no contact). Last chance for a getaway before DS arrives. Turns out he cocked up the booking, ended up in shitty carpark behind the Holiday Inn as nowhere else with space - loads of people at the same business thing as DF. Just me, him and the bloody Asstra

So already feeling shitty, heavily preggers, basically camping in a shed and then waters broke! Bubs arrived safely (bloody midwife strike).

And then instead of sorting things out so I could bond with my new Bubs (started a thread in Baby Names lol) he lets a whole load of randoms visit - I'm so not being PFB not to want sheep bothering weirdos lurking whilst I'm trying to establish bf am I? And they only a few bought gifts but nothing useful like nappies or a buggy (or chocolate) - just some minging toiletries and tat from Elizabeth Duke.

Then, like he's trying to make up for the whole bloody trauma DF says he's booked non-refundable flights to Egypt and we've got to be at the airport for 3am

WIBU to tell him FTFO on his own? Not feeling up to sightseeing anyway. Lol

It's your life. Your first priority should always be the needs of baby. If you need peace and quiet and time to bond, WGAF what anyone else wants of needs? Unless of course you have other children. Let DP/DH deal with his own life. His need/desire to live it up large playing Lawrence of Arabia, and assuage his guilt in some way by allowing you the chance to enjoy sweat and sand and flies, is just that - him trying to compensate you for a bad holiday buy paying for an unneeded/undesired holiday, all the while completely misunderstanding what it is you really need/want. He'd be far better placed staying at work, telling you he can be home anytime you call for the next few weeks, and just checking that you're fine when he gets in from work at night. Just my 2c worth.

Very clever OP. Are you now going to make fun of Muhammad and the angel Gabriel. No? Why-ever not?
