AIBU?

To think that it shouldn't take Ikea 45 blinkin' minutes to answer their stupid phone?!!

If I hear "Super trooper" one more time I am going to slay someone!

I cancelled an order on Monday (it was still "being processed" at that point) 30 minute wait for someone to answer the phone. Order cancelled, didn't mind losing that half hour of my life as I thought I had sorted things out to my satisfaction.

Received a text this morning to let me know my Ikea order would arrive Thursday. Gaaaaaah! Still waiting for them to answer my call to tell them they were supposed to have cancelled the order already. Never really had a problem with anything Ikea related before so I have never seen this side of them. Thinking twice about buying anything online from them in the future. How can they be so CRAP!

Companies want us emailing, they don't put in the money or resources to take phone calls anymore. They are being phased out with email being preferable nowadays, so it won't get any better

I am so stressed about this right now. I thought it had all been sorted. I cancelled the original purchase in good time but the person who was supposed to have processed it all forgot/couldn't be bothered to cancel the deliver at the same time so I had to phone again and was told to just refuse delivery and when they receive the goods back in the warehouse they would issue a full refund, delivery fee and all. Did that. Just received an email informing me that they had received 2 items and would be issuing a refund for £100. I originally spent £259!!! and ordered 6 items. I am so angry and stressed and upset about this. I know it means I have to phone the swivel eyed loons AGAIN tomorrow and wait another hour before they bother to pick the phone up. I am NEVER buying anything from them again, ever. And I will be complaining to someone if I can find out an official body I can complain to. This is a dreadful way to treat customers.

It took them 25 mins to answer me the other day when they delivered 4 doors and only 1 cupboard. Still no idea when the rest will arrive as I have been told it will take 48 to complete the request for information! If I have to phone again I will ask for the deliver fee back.

At least you get the whole song - calling Talktalk you get bursts of 30 secs of songs - about 6 on repeat!!

I feel your pain. Tried to call them repeatedly about an order the other day - the queues on the phones ranged from 25 mins to 50 mins. Then tried emailing but apparently it takes them a week to respond. Bloody useless. At one point held on the phone for 40 mins before i had to hang up and do the school run. Thinking of firing of a letter to complain but doubt I'll hear back.
