To think that Sports Direct have TOTALLY missed the point of Click and Collect?

The point being to avoid p&p costs..... but oh no, they charge £3.99 to have an order delivered to a SD store and £4.99 to have it delivered to a Collect + store.

It's not always to avoid p and p costs, though. I work and cannot take days off, so often I'll choose to click and collect so I can pick items up at a time that suits me, rather than take a gamble on whether delivery is attempted while I'm out, and then having to rearrange (again hoping that I'm actually in this time, seeing as often you just get given a time slot between 7am-7pm) or having to go pick the item up from the depot yourself (in which case you've added a few days delay and you've paid for the privilege of c+c anyway)

However, £3.99/£4.99 does seem very expensive! I think an admin charge of £1-2 is more reasonable for c+c. But compared with paying £6.99 for an afternoon delivery slot, or £9.99 for a Saturday slot, I'd still choose c+c.

Yip, I see your point... I'm just a scrooge who HATES paying for p&p and was delighted when i heard SD had a new C&C option. I've gritted my teeth and paid it!

I think click and collect is different to collect + though isn't it? You aren't going up the shop so courier still involved

P&P is never free though, it's always defrayed in the price somehow. It's just a lure to kid customers.

I saw this last night and raised my eyebrows. Really, how much additional admin is there in sticking a parcel on a lorry? Not sure it's £5 worth!
