I have a friend who lives in Melbourne who is absolutely lovely but has had a series of completely crap things happen to her, I don't want to go into details but lets just say a fair few serious life events one after another.

I really want to send her a nice thoughtful gift - if it was in the UK I might send her a voucher for a spa treatment or a meal or just something a bit special to let her know I'm thinking of her ... but she is in Melbourne and I don't know what to get for her at all what sort of thing is available etc

does anyone have any suggestions??

Whereabouts in Melbourne?
How would you go about getting a voucher in the UK?

This place is supposed to be amazing - they do vouchers, too

Melbourne is huge (you can drive for hours and still be in 'Melbourne'). Having said that, the Hepburn place, though it sounds lovely, doesn't seem to be in Melbourne.
What about a Jurlique day spa, they have a few locations and are usually pretty popular in Oz ?

I would call them to check how to pay but I have found most places in Oz more than happy to take my overseas cc over the phone
Mecca cosmetica is also good if you are after more mani/pedi than massage

I can also recommend this mob for Xmas hampers but you have to order quite soon (they sell out fast)

Tripadvisor also has a 'wellness and spas' section with reviews for Melbourne

Good luck and good on you for thinking of your friend !

What a lovely friend you are!
I'm from Melbourne originally and yes it is sprawling and huge.
Mecca Cosmetica is gorgeous - it's basically Australia's answer to Space NK - so can't go wrong there! X

If you wanted to send a 'thing' rather than a voucher M&S do free delivery to Australia.
