Got up this orning walks into kitchen and every single drawer and cupboard was wide open!! The kitchen is small so was quite a sight when I walked in. shock

No sign of burglary or anything. Safety catches on cupboards too as have a toddler.

Not the first time this happened, in other house my daughter had a wall full of posters. We heard a noise went upstairs n every poster was lying on her bed!

Also my 4 month old baby was moved from my bed to his cot.

Weird shock

Jesus Christ, I'd be gone, sorry. Especially after the baby incident! shock

Your baby moved? Omg I'd be out of there!

My ex was terrible for entering the kitchen and leaving all the cupboard doors open whilst searching for something. hmm

The posters was a window open, were they really all piled on the bed? Or were they scattered on an around the bed. How many were there?

And the baby, Ive moved my baby from one room to another and not remembered it countless times. Its just auto pilot. That, and all nights blur into one.

Someone is pranking you. Who else has keys to your house? Could it be an ex-tenant, neighbour or estate agent? Change all your locks, make sure windows are secure and see what happens.

I have to say that sometimes I walk into my kitchen to find it looking like a scene of "The Sixth Sense". It is normally just DS trying to serve himself some cereal.

WorraLiberty Sat 22-Nov-14 10:03:28

Sounds like you have a sleepwalker in the family.

WiggleGinger Sat 22-Nov-14 10:05:27

Yup I think you have a sleep walker too it could well be you. You just wouldn't know

minkymuskyslyoldstoaty Sat 22-Nov-14 10:07:29

how old was your dd in the other house and how long ago.

MrsCosmopilite Sat 22-Nov-14 10:09:47

Sleepwalking does sound like a possible cause for kitchen cupboards etc.
Just wondering how you could test it out though?

ResIpsaLoquitur Sat 22-Nov-14 10:17:19

No, you haven't got a ghost. Because there is no such thing.

TrendStopper Sat 22-Nov-14 10:18:45

I don't think a ghost would move a baby like that.

AliceinWinterWonderland Sat 22-Nov-14 10:20:54

Who is in the house besides you... partner and dcs?

WorraLiberty Sat 22-Nov-14 10:22:15

I don't think a ghost would move a baby like that.

I don't think it would move house with them either grin

fourwoodenchairs Sat 22-Nov-14 10:22:39

It's impossible to have a ghost because they don't exist. Someone is sleep walking, could even be you.

Slutbucket Sat 22-Nov-14 10:23:15

Sleep walking? Weird things happen to me all the time and that is the rational explanation.

EmberElftree Sat 22-Nov-14 13:07:29

My husband leaves every drawer and cupboard open in the kitchen regularly. With all of the lights on, hall lights, all kitchen lights, bathroom lights. I also live in a ground hog day scene from The Sixth Sense.

TrendStopper Sat 22-Nov-14 23:09:49

Worra you never know it might have been packed in a box accidentally wink

TheLostPelvicFloorOfPoosh Sat 22-Nov-14 23:18:05

Ghosts can be ever so tricky. It may well have seen the Pickfords lorry outside and hid in the kettle.

WorraLiberty Sat 22-Nov-14 23:27:44

Those are very good points

I concur grin

WineWineWine Sat 22-Nov-14 23:36:16

Ghosts don't exist so there has to be a different explanation.

We have a duppy as well. Moves things then puts them back, loud footsteps when kids are all asleep ill even run up to check and kids havnt moved an inch. Dog unexplainably barking at stupid oclock, I dont believe this is a bad ghost though think its just on the wind up.

The house I grew up in was haunted it wasnt nice. Have seen things with my own eyes so believe in all this.

I thought I seen someone crouch at the side of my bed once. Must of been my mind playing tricks on me.

cheesecakemom Sun 23-Nov-14 01:39:57

How about cameras in your home - then you could catch the walker?

ohmychrist Sun 23-Nov-14 01:45:11

DD1 sleepwalks and has gone downstairs to open kitchen cupboard doors. It's very weird, and freaked us out, but she's been caught in the act now. Many, many odd things in our house are caused by our sleepwalker.
