He's only on the line for a few seconds, but then he (Noel E) comes out with a long spiel of what the banker has just said hmm

I could be wrong.

The banker only exists in Noel's crazy mind.
He has always given me the creeps. How his name hasn't come up, iykwim, I'll never know.

You can "Hear" him on the phone sometimes.... it must be a producer or such trying to save the show as much Monet as possible.

I think there is a production member on the line that says ''offer this, or that'' and Noel makes up the rest.

Fixerupperz - that fake laughing policeman laughter.

I can see it's just a bit of fun, but the contenstants seem to believe the person is real.

Other channels are available.

Do the counters have magnetic properties? Is there a little man running back and forth behind the machine 'encouraging' the counters one way or another.
Dependent on how much Ben Shephard likes the contestant.

Pipbin I feel that.

My old drama teacher was on Deal Or No Deal and he insisted there was a banker. Probably just a producer.

notascientist Tue 11-Nov-14 18:17:20

She believed that?
and there are fairies living at the bottom of every garden.

Pipbin, Amber I feel the same.

I thought the banker was revealed as the bloke who used to be in Corrie, he is now the main producer.

ClashCityRocker Tue 11-Nov-14 18:23:13

I can't watch it anymore, it's just too too too twee.

And I have quite a high tolerance for twee.

Plus, it makes me really rage-y and I end up shouting at the telly 'you're going home with 5k you greedy cow, stop moaning'....

If I went on, I'd deal on the first round, take my cheque and walk away happy.

And Tipping Point is much better!
