Do people actually say it in real life when eating?! I thought it was an internet thing, like saying 'om nom nom' if something looked tasty? Have never come across this irl before! :s

Whatutalkinboutwillis Sat 08-Nov-14 20:54:13

So glad it's not just me. Hate it!

LikeSilver Sat 08-Nov-14 20:54:40

It makes me think of Cookie Monster. I always want to say 'me want cookie'.

VitoCorleone Sat 08-Nov-14 20:54:50

CuttedUpPear Sat 08-Nov-14 20:54:56

Not keen on "nom nom"... but I do like more letters than that in eeeeeiiiuuuuuwww. Makes it more satisfyingly onomatopoeic.

Yum scrum is just as bad imo.

Only1scoop Sat 08-Nov-14 21:03:02

I think people who say these hideous words also would say 'lolz' etc.

cardibach Sat 08-Nov-14 21:04:23

Nom nom is ridiculous and very annoyIng, not least because it is nothing like anything anyone would have actually said before it became popular. Makes me think of someone with their mouth open and full of food. YANBU.

mrsruffallo Sat 08-Nov-14 21:04:28

I've never heard it.

FaFoutis Sat 08-Nov-14 21:07:20

YANBU

I thought it was from a different European language because the first time I heard it was on a badly dubbed yoghurt advert. Is it?

BelleateSebastian Sat 08-Nov-14 21:09:04
