Read about it in Radio times. CIN next week.

Eastenders always do something .

I don't watch it any more (Been years now) but know who Ian Beale is, and theyre doing a 'sketch' of him seeing ghosts from the past, including Kathy Beale, Pat (with the earings) -and this is the concern-

his murdered daughter Lucy who's killer is still at large?

THis is for Children in need.

Am I being weird about it or right to feel a bit that this is not appropriate for this programme?

it is a fantasy about a story that Is Not Real.

CIN is irritating anyway, and with their huge overheads and sitting on large amounts of money they have long since stopped getting my money. Keep away from it and ignore as deserved.

I know, my uneasiness is the Lucy bit.

How many children are harmed/abused/in need, and theyre showing a murdered child- fantasy /dream or not. IYKWIM.

She was hardly a child was she. The character was aged 20 when she died.

It's fiction. It's not real.

I think you're being a bit precious about this, it's a TV show. I understand what you're trying to say but I don't agree, sorry!

I'd be more concerned over whether Terry Wogan has paid back the hundreds of thousands he's been paid for presenting CIN over the years.

I prefer the song & dance ones myself though.

I fucking hate Children in Need.

It's a made up story.
Does that help?

I think EastEnders shouldn't be shown before the watershed anyway so it seems in keeping with their usual unsuitable for families broadcasts.

Well I've done my bit buying the Countryfile Calendar, of which £4 goes to CIN. I shan't watch the programmes; I don't find them all that entertaining.
I do think they should have chosen a more cheery, funny sketch. Presumably some children will be watching?

It goes on until about one in the morning, how do you all know that part will be on at the beginning? And surely the jokes on like Have I Got News For You and Mock the Week are much worse? Confused
