Sat down with the dds to watch my all time favourite movie The Goonies. It was on all of twenty minutes when dd2 turned to me and said: this is horrifying...I can't even watch anymore. She proceeded to walk off...so AIBU!?!

I am devastated (mildly baffled) as to how anyone could dislike The Goonies Hmm Confused

Your dd is so totally not with it. Suggest you tie her to chair whilst you put the goonies, home alone, et and other classics on. ".............. Only just seen the beginning of the goonies last week. This film is sooooo good.

It was on last week and as an adult I found every scene with Chunk from being kidnapped onwards horrifying. I didn't even recall these scenes! An 80s childhood was not for the faint hearted eh?!

I have no clue as to why she used horrifying in her description - she has come back into the room but is sat under a cover in the corner Confused

it's the best film, I love it! proper childhood memories Grin

Its a classic, my 4 year old ds watched it for the first time a few months ago, we recorded it and he's always asking to watch it now as well as regularly shouting "hey you guys!" haha

How old is she? I remember being a bit scared of it, and have only come to appreciate it's finer points as an adult. The boy who played Mikey has three daughters who all have the same middle name, which is also his wife's middle name - Louise. Perhaps trivia can help her to fall in love...!

She's 6 so plenty of time to learn to love it Wink
