I probably am but I'm 33 weeks pregnant and having first night away in ages in advance of dc2!

It cost me £14 and was gone in 4 sips!

I just wanted a decent drink sad

Why can't they bloody fill it up? Am I a total savage alco to be disappointed?

stubbornstains Wed 29-Oct-14 19:48:46

FOURTEEN QUID?????? shock

ThreeQuartersEmpty Wed 29-Oct-14 19:49:43

How much?

CatKisser Wed 29-Oct-14 19:49:46

At that price I think I'd just shove it back over the bar and run sad

dottytablecloth Wed 29-Oct-14 19:49:55

I know but I haven't had a drink in so long I thought it would be full up blush

Too embarrassed to complain!

FishesTit Wed 29-Oct-14 19:50:12

That's called inhaling not sipping!!

Gileswithachainsaw Wed 29-Oct-14 19:51:29

You could have had a bottle for half that in aldi.

IncognitoBurrito Wed 29-Oct-14 19:56:42

You need to brass up! That is cheeky underfilling. They're counting on you thinking it's too embarrassing to complain. If they do that to enough customers they make a tidy profit, especially at 14 a glass shock

FoxgloveFairy Wed 29-Oct-14 20:12:47

Good God. Barely enough to gargle with! You are not an alco, just a disappointed punter, and I would be too!

scarletforya Wed 29-Oct-14 20:18:05

£3.50 a sip!!

sillymillyb Wed 29-Oct-14 20:20:27

£14 for a glass?! Holy fook!

Mammanat222 Wed 29-Oct-14 20:26:35

Does look slightly under-filled BUT not by much?

I'm a few weeks behind you pregnancy wise and just trying to decide if I'd pay that for a glass of Prosecco [I adore Prosecco!!!]

It seems extortionate - I live in central London and have been to some expensive places in my drinking days.

DisgraceToTheYChromosome Wed 29-Oct-14 20:55:00

Fuck me sideways with a rag man's trumpet!

Did it come with gold leaf stirred in?

SparkyLark Wed 29-Oct-14 20:57:07

Just grin so much at title.

ClawHandsIfYouBelieveInFreaks Wed 29-Oct-14 20:58:45

If you have another, say "Carry on!" and give a big grin I used to work in a naice place and people often did that as I was busy sometimes and just didn't notice. I never minded!

Botanicbaby Wed 29-Oct-14 20:58:53

They should have topped the glass up after the fizz had subsided a bit.

I would definitely have asked them to top it up, there is nothing that you should feel embarrassed about. Anyone serving that to you should be more embarrassed that they didn't pour your drink properly, not the other way around. Especially as they are charging such a high price for it.

Fairyfellowsmasterstroke Wed 29-Oct-14 21:00:40

OP - Where the feck are you??

dementedma Wed 29-Oct-14 21:04:33

Sis was hit for £16 for a basic cocktail at The Shard last week. She nearly added out!

dementedma Wed 29-Oct-14 21:05:53

Passed out!

SpringBreaker Wed 29-Oct-14 21:06:25

It also looks completely flat. I wouldn't pay that for a glass of fizzy wine anywhere though.

Leela5 Wed 29-Oct-14 21:50:36

I can't see picture sad but by law it should be correct measure which is usually 125ml for prosecco. We run a bar and our prosecco glasses are wide. The prosecco is right measurement but looks mean because it's not as high in glass as in normal flutes. I sometimes get complaints and tbh fair enough! I don't mind explaining to folk that it's measured.

If you think it's stingy though you've every right to say so and from sounds of it you've been looking forward to that glass. grin If it's flat also send it back, that's not cool!

Leela5 Wed 29-Oct-14 21:54:00

Just found your pic - it looks about a cm short but would depend on glass width. I would definitely ask! If you don't ask you don't get smile I'd always replace a drink someone wasn't happy about, good service is important!

Leela5 Wed 29-Oct-14 21:54:33

PS £14 is a rip off!

dottytablecloth Wed 29-Oct-14 21:59:53

Right I've come to the conclusion that this place is a shit hole!

£300 for one night and to add to the insult of the tiny glass of fizz, I got a bloody worm in my starter.

Complained and they offered me £50 off next stay.

Am disgusted. Would have been better off staying at home sad
