Just been in a meeting in the partners office. Me, Director of OPs and Sales Manager

I;ve got a really heavy period

Sat on a white leather chair

Stood up to leave and there was a bit of blood on the chair.

Walked out with the Sales Manager.

Ops Director and Partner still in there

I am dying of embarassement

What do I do? Do I pretend I haven't noticed or balls it out and go back in with a cloth, apologies and clean it up

Maybe they haven't noticed and will just think it's paint or something?

I want to die I am so fucking embarraseed

And maybe, if the Director of OPs sat straight down they won't have seen it at all.

Or something.

Cold water to clean.
I would go to HR or something.
Report it.

The other day I was in a restaurant with a friend and did a number 2. The loo was blocked and it was floating around.
As early in the day, was just us there.
I reported it.
What else can you do?

What is the company selling? If it's sanpro, it will be a salutary lesson that their products are no good.

You must report before someone else sits on it! HR I would think?

I'm really torn by

a) hoping they don't notice or they do but just discretely deal with and me just never, ever mentioning it or

b) grabbing a cloth from the kitchen, going bakc in there and wiping the chair. But they are in there so I iwll have to explain. But maybe that's what I should do

Arrgggh

I don't think I can come back to work

Could you get a plaster, put it on your hand or something and go back in, saying you have just realised you had a bad cut on your hand and you think it might have made a mess in there?

Didn't want to read and run- are the others fella's? If so, there's a good chance it won't immediately occur to them that's what it is. God love you! Maybe say to the office manager/cleaner to give them a heads up? Might assuage your guilt.

I want to give you a hug, a cup of tea,- box of wet wipes and some fresh pants. ThanksBrewWine

Oh heck. Check their diary/secretary - will they be leaving the office soon?

I've got to go back in with a cloth haven't I? Blush

Is there cleaners in the building?
Put something over it and say 'there's a mess on the chair/something on the chair'
Get someone to take it away and remedy it.

Oh god - the plaster idea could work

Plaster idea. Even if they know and you know, it will be better than telling the truth.

Report
Hurr1cane · 28/10/2014 17:09

I second the plaster idea

I would say nothing and do nothing.

If it is on the chair, does that not also mean that you have a big red patch on your trousers/skirt?

Notmeagain1 · 28/10/2014 17:09

Oh catgirl, Im so sorry this happened to you. Every womans worst nightmare, but you do need to report it to someone. Because it is blood, it has to be properly cleaned up. Not saying you have any diseases, but blood bourne pathogens could be passed to someone else if proper cleaning isn't done. Hth

Plaster. Definitely. Go lady and do it.
