I just don't find it funny and I think it's quite disgusting that a child of that age (no older than 4) would say "fucking hell"

Mixed. Not nice to put it on FB, especially if the child says this stuff often. We do laugh now though about when our toddler swore at another family once when he was 2 or 3. It was so random and unexpected. We were shocked at the time though and mortified.

Sounds vile. I love a wee swear but children swearing is absolutely awful.

When I was a teen one of my toddler cousins was encouraged to show off her party piece which was to say "fuck the pope and my daddy's a drunken bastard"

I will have outed myself to any family as it went down in history - either with those who thought it was hilarious or those of us who were stunned

I completely get that children will pick up words from anywhere, so even if you don't swear in front of them they can still pick it up from other sources (other children, school, tv)

The thing is you can hear whoever filmed her laughing and they posted it too so they must think it's hilarious. I'd be mortified if my child did that.

I'm also a bit of a swearer but seeing/hearing small kids do it is nasty.

I try really hard to not swear In front of my dc but it has happened in the past...my dd is 17 and still doesn't swear in front of me. DS is 3 and time will tell (gulp)

I'm on another forum and on one thread where people were posting about funny things their child said, someone posted about their toddler swearing. I just don't get it.

I haven't seen this video. It doesn't sound funny. Occasionally it can be funny - I'm thinking where a child has picked something up from god knows where and the parents stand there open mouthed in mortification. A child who habitually swears though? No.

I just watched it (I've been avoiding all of the ice bucket vids). The way the little girl said it was completely normal, like its a part of her normal vocabulary.
