I wouldn't

No, but I wouldn't be bothered if someone rang me at that time. It's not the 1950s.

If it was real diamonds for a fiver or it said ring before 10pm or if it was the most important thing ever... Maybe

But generally, No.

vulgarwretch Tue 19-Aug-14 21:36:29

Probably not, but lots of (most?) people wouldn't mind I think. Any chance you could text instead?

Good, glad to hear it. I was worried I was being snippy when I answered and told them to phone back tomorrow. Property for rent, potential tenant. Normally I would have answered, but feeling really tired.

Kiffykaffycoffee Tue 19-Aug-14 21:46:53

No I wouldn't. I'd only phone close family members at that time.

Janethegirl Tue 19-Aug-14 21:48:40

I phone friends up to around 10:30pm but not people over around 60 as they tend to go to bed earlier.

TheFairyCaravan Tue 19-Aug-14 21:49:31

It wouldn't bother me. Lots of people don't finish work and get home until 8:30/9pm.

Tantrictantrum Tue 19-Aug-14 21:50:19

That potential tenant will be calling you about their fuse box at this time etc.

Does sort of create that impression, doesn't it?

It wasn't a family, desperate for accommodation or anything, but a single male professional. If that makes any difference!

iolanthefairyqueen Tue 19-Aug-14 22:06:11

Jane. I'm 62 and very rarely go to bed before 11! Just saying...

Nooo, I never call anyone after the watershed shock and if my phone rings I assume theres some major disaster somewhere.

whois Tue 19-Aug-14 22:15:31

Yes I'd call up to 10.

Janethegirl Tue 19-Aug-14 22:16:01

Sorry iolanthe there are exceptions to every rule smile
